Apartment Oleandri offers breathtaking views of one of Lazio's most picturesque medieval towns, Soriano nel Cimino. The apartment's spacious open-plan living area and full length balcony faces directly opposite Castle Orsini. The attractive 2 bedroom/2 bathroom property lies within easy walking distance from Soriano's pretty winding medieval streets where you can find an excellent array of local shops, restaurants and bars. Nestled between the regions of Tuscany and Umbria it's location in northern Lazio provides the perfect base throughout the year for day trips to explore it's magnificent cities and villages to its stunning lakes and beaches. The cities of Rome (45min drive), Florence(1 1/2hr), and Orvieto(35min) are all easily accessible by car or rail. Lazio's stunning lakes, Bolsena (35km),Vico (15km) and Bracciano (40km) all provide excellent beaches and watersports. Lake Vico is set within the vast wooded nature reserve of 'La Faggeta', which creates Soriano's stunning backdrop.

Prices are for the property per week in UK pounds.
Pricing includes bills during high season, heating extra during winter months.
There is a minimum 4 night stay with an extra daily tariff for bookings less than a week: An additional rate of £20 per night is added to the weekly rate for a 4 night stay, £15 for a 5 night stay and £10 for a 6 night stay.
Payments to be made by either cheque or bank transfer.
Changeover day
Our changeover days are flexible. We generally ask our guests to arrive after 3pm and depart by 11am.

Coast/Beach
Lazio's stunning coastline is within an hrs drive from Apartment Oleandri, offering sandy stretches of beach to rugged bays. Lazio's nearest beach at Tarquinia Lido is a 40 min drive. The Etruscan beach town of Tarquinia is famed for its archaeological sites and relics. The Tuscan coastal towns of Porto Ercole, Porto S. Stefano and the islands of Giglio and Elba are also reached in over an hrs drive. Lazio's Lakes also provide excellent beaches; Vico(15km), Bolsena(35km) and Bracciano(40km).

Alternatively the railway station at Orte (15 min) is the main junction to all major destinations throughout Italy i.e. Rome-40 min.
Further details
A good variety of local amenities; banks, excellent restaurants and bars are all within a short walk from the apartment. Located on and around Soriano's main piazza are many stores providing good local produce. The local supermarket is a 2 minute drive. Northern Lazio's largest town is the ancient beautiful walled city of Viterbo (15 min drive) offering the larger hypermarkets and a bigger selection of all of the above. Also including museums, designer shops, discos and the famed health spa 'Le Terme'. Stunning 'San Pellegrino' is the oldest part of town with an array of antique shops and artisan markets. Standing 1,150 metres behind Soriano is the vast wooded nature reserve of 'La Faggeta'. Winding roads with spectacular views take you to the ideal place to escape the summer heat, for a dip in lake Vico, cool walks and picnics or to the excellent restaurant/gelateria nestled in the shade of the wood. There are 3 local swimming pools. The larger of the three is the sulphuric 'Terme di Orte'(15 min) a large open air complex with restaurant and bar ideal for families, 'La Molinella' a smaller complex in Soriano itself and Soriano's olympic size pool. 'Aquafelix' at Civitavecchia is the largest waterpark in the area. Soriano is just one of the many beautiful towns in this area, others include Caprarola home to the stunning Palazzo Farnese and Bagnaia famed for Villa Lante and it's fabulous grand gardens. For it's beauty and uniqueness Bagnoreggio is also a must see. Each town and village celebrate their own festivals throughout the year; e.g. Montefiascone's 'Fier del Vino'(wine festival) on 1st-15th Aug and Viterbo's impressive 'Macchina di S. Rosa' on the 3rd September. Soriano's most famous 'Sagra della Castagna' (Chestnut Festival) is celebrated in the first 2 weeks of October, bringing visitors from far and wide. Here you can enjoy medieval processions and join the celebrations held in local 'tavernas'. Soriano's International Jazz Fest is held in July.

25% booking deposit non-refundable. A refundable damage deposit of £150 paid prior to arrival is to be included with final payment. 8 weeks notice is needed for cancellations.
