The town centre of Porlezza is within close proximity and the local supermarket conveniently close by. There is also a good selection of local Italian restaurants to sample and then you can end the evening, walking along the beautiful lakeside boulevard.

Notes on accommodation
P12 (ID180) P15 (ID174) and P10 (ID162) are all equipped with Air Conditioning to ensure a comfortable stay. Dalia 1 has central heating.
Cleaning and linen charges:
Each Porto Letizia property tariff is inclusive of gas, electricity, water & air-conditioning (specifically in the Palazzo Apt's only between July and Aug only), however tea towels & beach towels are not supplied. On arrival, please visit the Porto Letizia Reception Desk where you will be able to collect and pay for your linen & towels, which is EU15 per person, per week & a further EU12 for each week thereafter. The final compulsory cleaning costs are as follows: Studio Apt: EU50 p/wk, 1 Bed Apt: EU60 p/wk, 2 Bed Apt: EU85 p/wk & 3 Bed Apt. or Villa: EU100 p/wk. A cot can be hired for EU20 p/wk and a Dog will cost an additional EU30 p/wk.

Accessibility
P12 (ID180) P15 (ID174) and P10 (ID162) all have the advantage of lift access perfect for the elderly or anyone who has difficulty with stairs. Dalia 1 (ID176) is a ground floor garden apartment again perfect for the elderly or anyone who has difficultly with stairs.
All the apartments are on one floor.

Coast/Beach
The shore and beaches of Lake Lugano are just a stone's throw away and from all of the apartments it is a short 2 minute walk.
Golf
There are Golf clubs around Lake Como: The Cadenabbia & Menaggio Golf Club and is Italy's oldest golf course. Established in 1907 with 18 holes Par 70, it is located above Menaggio near Croce, in Grandola ed Uniti, approx. 20 min. by car. Tel: +39 344 321 03. Green Fees: Weekdays 55, Weekends and Holidays 70 Euros; Golf Cart Rental 36.
Restaurant Golf at the club serves fantastic food and is well recommended.. Guests are always welcome, please call beforehand to check course rules. Golf Club Menaggio: (Menaggio Como).
There is also a first class Golf Course at Varesse for those staying nearer to the Lake Maggorie area.
Skiing
This beautiful lake region of Italy is not the best for skiing as you may imagine, despite its scenery, crisp air and near perfect visibilty and mountains capped in winter snow. It does however have Skiing opportunities at local resorts for a day out. There is a small ski area on Mt. Lema, not more than 10 km from Lugano, but you have to be lucky to have enough snow for skiing. In Ticino, the local Swiss Canton, the best places to ski are probably either San Bernardino (south of the pass of the same name) or Airolo (south of Gotthard pass). Both are reachable in about 1 hour by car across the Swiss border.
There are direct trains to Airolo as well from Lugano and hence from Italian Stations. To S. Bernardino there is only a bus connection. For more snow try Andermatt (on the north side of Gotthard pass) which has normally good snow conditions and a good choice of runs. The closest major ski resorts are St. Moritz and Madesimo toward the Splugen Pass which is approx. 100K

Further details
The complex of Porto Letiizia has a restaurant, a bar, a hairdresser, it is only a 10 min walk to the nearest supermarket and 15 mins to Porlezza centre with its selection of restaurants, bars and shops. Porlezza is just 12 km, over the mountain pass from Menaggio on Lake Como and is on the scenic route to the town of Swiss town Lugano. Porlezza is the principle town at this Southern end of the Lake in Italy and adds an Italian flavour to a well known Swiss name!

To make a confirmed booking, fill in our online booking form and pay a 30% deposit by wire transfer or credit card. The remaining holiday balance will then be due 6 weeks before arrival. We have a minimum stay of 3 nights.
