In the southern of Florence direction Siena (Hearth of Tuscany) a majestic. Farmhouse rises on a hill at the crossing of the valley La Valle a Polvereto. Full integrated in the rural surroundings the restoration of this characteristic Tuscan accommodation, completed in 2004, resulting in a hill of 410m2 including several terraces. On top of the hill you find a charming holiday home supplied with all the necessary requirements. There is absolute privacy, without being isolated. It offers a beautiful view many be enjoyed from Chianti vineyards. This is a farmhouse from 1200 surrounded by olive groves with Chianti vineyards in the Chianti hills. A very peaceful place for relaxing and yet very near to art centre such as Florence 20km and Siena 55km. The farmhouse has been very well restored by the owners who now own it, keeping its original Tuscan design. It has been divided into 6 spacious units, or the full property for an large group, perfect for weddings.

Notes on accommodation
The farmhouse has been carefully divided into eight properties all of which are comfortably furnished to a high standard with a selection of antique rustic furniture and good modern kitchens. There are terracotta floors throughout and most rooms have beamed ceilings. One of the apartments is occupied by the owners and the other seven are available for letting. Each property has its own entrance and space for eating out of doors. The estate is reached by a small country lane.
Outside
La Valle is a beautiful old farm estate extending 22 hectares, covered with vineyards, olive groves, orchards, grassy areas and woodland. The garden is an ideal place in which to relax and for the more energetic there is a footpath leading through the estate for you to explore. La Valle is set in the hills in a most picturesque area between Montespertoli and Tavarnelle Val di Pesa. The farmhouse has been carefully restored to maintain many of its original features. The owners have created a lovely English garden with a variety of roses, clematises, herbs and shrubs. There is a good swimming pool in the garden (7x14m) large solarium with gazebos, BBQ from where you can enjoy superb views across the valley. Montespertoli, which is famous for its wine festivals and Tavarnelle are nearby and offer good shopping facilities and a variety of restaurants.

Pisa :Beach is only 1 hour from here.
Travel
Florence 20 mins.Siena 30 mins Pisa 60 mins (easy way). Use car recommended. To enjoy the beauty of our hills and not to be bound to a timetable, we usually recommend our guests to rent a car on their arrival in Italy.

In the farmhouse there are an small restaurant, cooking lesson in the site,a request breakfast or Tuscan dinner served every day. City arts distance by car: Florence 25 mins. Siena 50 mins. Pisa 60 mins. San Gimignano 35 mins. Certaldo 25 mins.

At 5km from La valle a Polvereto you can find the following services: Big supermarket (also open Saturday and Sunday), where you’ll find bread, fruits, pasta, vegetables, cheese, etc. Butcher’s shop, Pharmacy, restaurant, newsvendor, bank and ATM, bars for breakfast and Catholic Church.

The moment we arrived at La Valle it was everything I imagined Tuscany to be. We stayed for a week and loved every minute of it. Our hostess Brunella made us feel very much at home. Thought out the week we ate at many places but I must say the rustic food served to us by Brunella was the best. In fast I got the recipe to one of her pasta dishes and my family loves it! Trip Advisor made it easier for us to choose this place with their colourful comments. We chose this place because of the close proximity to a lot of the places we wanted to see: Florence, Siena, Volterra, Cinque Terra and many quaint little towns such Montespertoli. While a little challenging to find, this wonderful farmhouse/Villa in Tuscany was a true treasure. The Savaglia family treated us just like family. We absolutely loved our villa. It was a fabulous home base from which to venture out and explore all of Tuscany. ktegard Arizona Feb 9, 2009

About the owner
We arrived at la Valle in 1987, we fell in love with the countryside and bought the first part of the hamlet with all the surrounding land, we were young and full of enthusiasm and it is here that our two daughters Daniela and Jessica were born. Over the years we have managed to re-unite all the hamlet and after 16 years of re-building have decided to open for hospitality, we have tried to do our best to make you feel at home, but there is still plenty to do, there are vineyards which we have started to replace, the old ones are obsolete, we need to build a wine cellar to house the wine we produce and lastly we need to re-build the chicken houses so that finally we will be able to sample our own produce.
