Changeover day is Saturday, departure before 10am, giving time to prepare for next arrival after 4pm .possibility of flexible change days only in low season i.e. Winter snd part Spring / Autumn.

Bedrms 2, 3 & 4, all en-suite bath/shower, each can be made up as twin or double. Bedrm 5 large rm with en-suite bath and terrace overlooking pool. Interior decor like home from home.
Bathrooms: All bathrooms to beds 1 2 & 3 equipped with hand shower WC + bidet. Bed 4 corner shower WC bidet. Bed 5 bath bidet wc and twin bowl basins. Additionally there are guest toles on the gd floor one of which has a shower.
Kitchen: Main Kitchen open planned to dining room which has comfortable seating to open fireplace and dining to seat 10/12.- Kitchen has Elec Oven Gas hob-Fridge/freezer D/W M/wave. Recep to south terrace has bar kitchenette to East breakfast al fresco
Utility Room: Utility room with clothes washer and enclosed outside drying area with hanging lines, located across the patio on the approach to the covered parking for 2 cars. Boiler room under outer stairs.
Living Rooms: Very spacious Sitting room and separate Dining room - Both these recep rooms have original large stone built open fireplaces. Extensive terraces for dining. TV in sitting room and master bedroom --(Sky TV and connection for internet).

Bed linen, Bath Robes and towels are provided, changed weekly. Coloured pool towels changed as req'd in high summer house cleaning 3 times weekly 2 hrs each. Twice on last week which includes full cleaning on Saturday of departure

Accessibility
The villa has not been designed with wheel chair access but it may be of interest to note that the cottage may be available and is suitable for a couple requiring privacy and easy mobility i.e. approached next to the covered no stairs Recep bedroom bat h and kitchenette. Would suit young couple with infants in sofa bed or grand parents or friends visiting for a few days during your stay. Enquire for Extra price and availability.

Outside
The road to the villa is a tarmac road 20 ft wide passing by the side of a small river. Leading up to and through the village of Torre Gentile, it becomes narrower after the village and unsuitable for heavy traffic. Thus the peace and tranquility of the gardens are assured at all times, and compliment the design and layout of the villa and it's terraces. The garden of Villa Le Terrazze was designed in 1995 and planted with Poplar Cypress trees and Willowtress, are indeed the most compelling and attractive feature of the villa requiring the services of our gardener throughout the year.

Travel
Best airport is Rome (Fiumicino or Ciampino) 135km approx 1hr 30 mins. Nearest Perugia from Dec 06 or Jan 07 served by Ryanair after completing longer runway. Hire car essential. Owners can organise airport collection.

Distances
Orvieto, Assisi, Perugia and Bevagna are all within a radius of 40 kms from the villas i.e. about 35 to 40 minutes drive. Orvieto is about an hour along a winding but beautiful lakeside road. Many more charming small towns such as Bevagna, Montefalco, Deruta and Monte Castello di Vibio are less than 20 minutes drive. Rome is often requested. Best by bus or train avoid car due to parking problems. Detailed maps and guide books provided and included in the hand book provided by the owners.

Our Hand book or personalised guide book includes details of restaurants vineyards and places of special interest to visit. Information about some of these and maps are also included on our website (www.escapetoumbria.com) There are about 5 supermarkets in Todi of excellent quality within 5 kms, and the nearest village shop at Ponte Naia is only 3 kms (open all day till late and on Sundays). We are used to requests for assistance for connection to internet with broadband etc.,
Restaurants - The restaurants vary in quality and ownership both near and far also the week day on which they sre closed>> It so happens that the 2 most popular restaurants are very close to the villa i.e.to the South of Todi These are at Fiori 1.5 kms very close and La Mulinella at Ponte Naia see any good map of the area >>both have adequate car parking and outside shaded summer dining and are highly popular open at week ends, when it is advisable to reserve in advance
The recommended shopping area is at Capuccini, which is the closest also to the South of Todi, 2 supermarkets, banking, stationers, chemist, electrician, computer service >> Great ease of access and parking without going into the town There are a total of some 8 banks, 5 chemists and 5 supermarkets in the area, those mentioned are best for access from the villa.

About the owner
I am a architect from London where I have worked on projects world wide and in the UK. . Gabriella -an interior designer transferred from her home in Italy when we married, and has contributed her expertise in desig. She has the ability to create a real home from home. which is quite evident in the villas. We have retained a home in London but transfer to Italy for the Italian summer from April to September. Our home near Todi is a large stone built property of 15th century origin which we let thro the Summers in Italy. We also refurbished and extended, another villa which is quite separate from our home This villa "Le Terrazze" has it's own pool We have home help, and a full time gardener plus cat and dog The lawns are extensive and irrigated ar night

we purchased our home at Torre Gentile because of the lovely road to the village which winds along by the side of a small river rising gently to the village of Torre Gentile The villa is situated before the village after which the road winds and changes to a rough country finish thus No heavy Traffic. . Near the villa there is an excellet restaurant at the village of Fiore nearby. At Ponte Naia There is a further restaurant La Mulinella (The mill house) near to the sports Ground and International tennis club 11 courts 4 Covered. The location gives access with ease to the supermarkets of Todi (4km)and all the local events sponsored by Todi at the very large Theatre and in the Town Square The extraordinary beauty iof the countryside nearby
