Close to the Savena stream is the Residence Alle Scuole: It is characterised by a vast park of age-chestnut trees, luxurious plants and the singing of birds, which find their refuge and relief in this immense green area. Originally a school dating back to the 30s, this building has been completely restructured keeping to the architectural typology of those years and has been transformed into a refined and distinguished residence. It could be defined as the style and elegance of simplicity! Its geographical location, within easy reach of all the main arteries of Bologna, but also away from smog, stress and city traffic, makes this Residence an ideal place both for relaxing and commercial stays.

Notes on prices
Prices are intended: room and for mini-apartment per night in euros. Special rates for long stay.
The price may change during the Exhibition period.
All reservations require 30% deposit to confirm booking. Balance payable on arrival.
We do not accept cheques.
Changeover day
There is not changeover day as long as there is availability you may come when it is convenient for you and stay as long as you'd like.
Notes on accommodation
Central heating, hot water, private parking included in the price. Some suites can be put in communication one to the other thus providing a family accommodation, on request. We have available for our guests a bar to relax and enjoy an aperitif. Children welcome. English spoken.
Please Note: In Genuary 2010 all the Apartments and Rooms, they been fitted with new showers and mosquito net.

Accessibility
All the suites are served by elevator.
Outside
A large garden with old trees, fenced and safe for the kids. Overlooks the garden is surrounded by countryside with a great spot to stay cool and relax (garden furniture is provided). Barbeque available.
Coast/Beach
The nearest beach in Ravenna but also Cattolica, Rimini, Riccione it a popular destination for those seeking a stylish holiday on the Adriatic Coast. Take the kids and relax at the leisure resort, theme parks, funfairs and natural parks.
Golf
There are several good golf courses within an 20 minutes drive from the Residence.
Golf Club Le Fonti in Castel San Pietro Terme (Bo) its only 10 Km distance.
Skiing
Very famous ski resorts is Cimone and Corno alle Scale on the border between Tuscany and Emilia Romagna regions.
Special interest holidays
In the surrounding area there is horse riding, cycling paths, jogging and typical restaurants all within walking distance.
By car you can reach some Emilian vineyards for wine tasting.
Tours and food in Italy available if you book in advance. This are private Tours of max 7 people from Monday to Saturday. a) Parmigiano Reggiano. b) Balsamic Vinegar. c) Prosciutto di Modena (equal to the more famous Prosciutto di Parma)
d) Typical Italian Wine Cantine (winery) in a XVIth Century Monastery + wine tasting and light Lunch. Tax and Insurance included.
Travel
Ferrara 30km, Parma, Verona, Firenze there all about an hour drive from the residence. The used of a car is essential but you can also take the train from Bologna train station.
Distances
The location of Residence Alle Scuole is strategic because it is very near important inter-connecting roads. The city of Bologna is extremely near, but parking and traffic problems instead are far away. Bologna city centre is 10km. Bologna fair trade center is just 7km. Airport "G. Marconi" is 12km.
Centergross business centre only 3km. Motorway exit A13 3km.

Emilia Romagna is Italy's finest culinary region, home of balsamic vinegar, parmesan cheese, Parma ham and of course, Lambrusco and Sangiovese.The territory of Emilia Romagna consists of a wide plain south of the Po river, and a more mountainous area near the border with Tuscany, with the peak of Monte Cimone (2165m).
Within Emilia Romagna is also the independent republic of San Marino, the most ancient in Europe.
Bologna is Art city with an incredible museum heritage, churches and piazzas, famous for the oldest University in the world. Most of all, Bologna is the city of porticos with 40 kilometres of arcades, fabulous for shopping.
Your can also visit Ferrara, Modena (Ferrari factory, Maserati and Lamborghini) and Maranello (Ferrari Museum).

The sooner you book the more likely you are to get the week of your choice. We ask for a 30% deposit at booking (refundable only 60 days before the check-in-date).

Our family of 2 adults and 3 teenagers stayed at Residence Alle Scuole for 4 nights in July 2010. Romano and Paola were great hosts. The Residence has a great location. Its only a couple of miles to get on to the freeway. You can easily get to Florance, Milan or Venice, or any part of Emilia-Romagna.

I was born in Southern Italy and I studied at the catering college. I worked in many different hotels were I completed my experience. At age 18 I moved in UK and also I worked in different places. I bought my own restaurant at age 25 in north west of England and I run it for 15 years before I moved back to Italy. I am married and I have 2 boys. I run the Residence with my wife and we try to help our customers and make there holiday the most enjoyable. We chose this property because it is in peaceful location, very close to Bologna in a perfect position to reach in a short time, sea, mountains, hills and other major cities. It also a city of gourmets and wine lovers (like me)...
