Notes on accommodation
The six bedrooms are situated on both the ground and first floors. Four of the bedrooms have en suite bathrooms. The luxurious master suite has its own sauna and patio door leading directly to the gardens and swimming pool. At the touch of a button, an electric door on the first floor can separate two en suite double bedrooms, a lounge area and a second kitchen from the main house to form an independent apartment.
Villa Halvania is located 7km from the famous “White City” of Ostuni and just 2km from the historic town of Ceglie Messapica, renowned for its excellent gastronomy and selection of restaurants. Only 300m away from the villa is the celebrated “Ristorante Antimo”, perfect for guests wishing to sample superb local cuisine and wine without needing to drive. The nearest beaches and miles of coastline are just 15 minute drive, and Puglia’s many other interesting sights are within easy reach.

The beautiful, totally private 10 x 10m L shape salt filtered swimming pool forms the centre piece of the chic outdoor areas with sunken swim up bar, flanked by gazebos and sun bathing terraces it is the perfect place to take a relaxing dip in the hot Mediterranean summers, where guests can enjoy endless barbecues, cool refreshing drinks and dine at the lovely alfresco dining area. To the left of the house is another unique area for outdoor relaxation – an enchanting grotto dating back thousands of years. Accessed via a winding garden path and surrounded by trees and flowers, the grotto makes for an unusual and memorable venue for parties and events. The grounds extend for 7 acres, gardens, woodland and an olive grove. Along with the surrounding garden area, a CCTV security system and electric entrance gates ensures the total privacy of the villa.

At Villa Halvania you are only 15 minutes by car from the beach and 100s of miles of beautiful coastline.

The Villa is in the countryside but only minutes away from shops, supermarkets, banks, daily markets, numerous restaurants, cafes and bars, and there is plenty of scope for sight seeing in the surrounding towns and villages. All the nearby towns have charming historical centres and a good and varied selection of restaurants. Ceglie Messapica is the gastronomic centre of the area boasting 54 restaurants!

An exclusive cookery course is available to our guests with Antimo Savese. Antimo is a famous restauranteur, his culinary skills are available for all to see in the Italian cookery magazine TV chef, as he provides all the recipes for the magazine.
Booking notes
Make sure you holiday date is available. We will require a 30% deposit to secure holiday (non refundable.) Full payment will be required 8 weeks before holiday plus a damages deposit(refundable) There will be a welcome pack on arrival with local produce and refreshments to get you started on your holiday.

I really wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our holiday in your fabulous villa. The house was so comfortable and luxurious with every detail so carefully thought out and everything we could possibly need provided.I realise it is tricky to convey in photos, but your website really does not do
the villa justice! The villa has the great advantage of being secluded and not overlooked by any near neighbours, but not isolated and of course being on top of a hill makes for the perfect views.
We would not hesitate to recommend this beautiful place to anyone that wants a perfect Puglian getaway, it was heavenly.Our only regret is that the time flew so fast, now we are hoping to make plans

About the owner
We originally came to Puglia on holiday in 2004 and fell in love with the complete way of life here. After our holiday here we came back for a week every month for nearly a year looking at property before we finally found and purchased Villa Halvania, by this time we didn't want to leave so we decided to stay in Puglia permanently. This has been our first rental year (2011) with some wonderful comments and feedback from our clients from all around the world! It’s a real pleasure for us to receive letters and emails from our clients telling us about great holidays and many happy memories they have of Villa Halvania, it makes all the hard work worthwhile.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
It didn't take us long to find out that a Trulli wouldn't suite us here in Puglia as we found them a little too cramped, damp in winter and a little claustrophobic (not many windows) although we love the area and the charm of the Trulli in the area we knew they were not for us so, we set about finding a Villa, we explored the whole of Puglia and looked at many before settling on Villa Halvania, the Villa is unique in many ways, not only for its architecture but of its sheer size (app 7000 sq ft inc roof terrace) The Villa is built on a hill, the views are truly breathtaking, even after 6 years of seeing the views we still look at them in wonder! We have been completely hands on in every aspect of Villa Halvanias 3 year restoration. We have now moved to a smaller Villa just down the road!

Where do we start? Nowhere in Puglia will you find a rental property with the abundance of space, light and comfort that Villa Halvania has to offer! Top chefs have also marvelled at the specification and equipment the kitchen offers. The pool area again is probably unique in Puglia with a sunken swim up bar! It really is something! The Villa is completely private surrounded by its own 7 acres of land including olive and fruit trees with yet another unique feature a Grotto next to the Villa! The Villa has 12 outside doors leading to the pool or a terrace; you can always find a nice quite spot at Villa Halvania. Although the Villa is private and in the countryside you are within a few minutes of all the amenities required for a great and memorable holiday. Our team await your arrival.
