Le Galelle, is a large country house in the village of Rosciano and is situated in the heart of Abruzzo, in a wonderful location, offering stunning views of both the Gran Sasso and Maiella mountain ranges. We are centrally located with easy access to motorway, airport, beaches, ski, shopping and much more. The apartment is self-contained accommodation on the first floor of the house, with Maiella suite, sleeping 2/4 and the Gran Sasso suite sleeping 4-8. All rooms are large and spacious with stunning mountain or Olive grove views. The house has a large enclosed garden, with plunge pool, fun for the kids and perfect for cooling off, making it suitable for families with children or couples, while you relax with a glass of good local wine, and food on the BBQ taking in the beautiful views, in this lovely part of Italy. The region of Abruzzo has so much to offer so you can make your stay as energetic or as relaxing as you would like.

Apartment 2, Gran Sasso (3 Bedroom, Sleeps 2/8)

| The one bedroom apartment can be combined with the two triple rooms of the Gran Sasso Suite to make a very large living space. This large apartment takes up the whole of the first floor of Le Galelle. The main bedroom is very large with a king size bed, with an en-suite bathroom. The two triple rooms have use of another large bathroom, making it suitable for one or two families or a group of people. This bathroom is spacious with a big walk-in shower. The large apartment has a fully-equipped kitchen and a lounge-diner. Two of the bedrooms have balconies with amazing views of the mountains and countryside, olive groves and vineyards, as does the lounge/dining room. All rooms are furnished in a modern and fresh style, and have all facilities for a very comfortable holiday. Guests also have use of the garden, with BBQ area and Lounge on the ground floor, giving plenty of room for living, relaxing, dining and socialising. Notes on accommodation
The house and apartment are very large and we are flexible so please do not hesitate to contact us with your requirements. Central heating in all rooms. Cot and highchair available on request. Children and adults can enjoy the games room, with table tennis, broad games. Mobile fruit/Vegetable van comes by every Saturday, with local fresh produce. WiFi connection is available.
Accessibility
The Apartment has its own access, with car parking.
Outside
The house has sunny balconies to the bedrooms and with beautifully views towards the Maiella mountains and the ski resort of Passo Lanciano. Guests can sit out on their balcony or within the enclosed garden in the sunshine with a glass of wine, and enjoy the peace and quiet of the area and soak in the atmosphere and the picturesque scenery. On 1acre of land, with vineyard and olive trees (eat what you pick!) there is plenty of room for you all. BBQ sunbathing and seating areas, use of table tennis, plunge pool and bikes.
Coast/Beach
The Adriatic coast with its pines and palm-lined promenades only 20 minutes drive from Le Gallele, so you can spend all day at the beach enjoying the turquoise waters or just relaxing on the sand. There are many blue flag beaches and water sports facilities and the golden sands are clean and safe for children.
Golf
The 18 hole par 72 Miglianico course covers 6100 metres. It is 35 minutes away. Green fees start from 40 euros and club hire from 10 euros. The club is open 360 days of the year and has qualified instructors, so don't practice your faults, take a lesson! There is also a bunkered driving range.
Skiing
The Ski resort of Passo Lanciano is 35 minutes in the Maiella region. Here you can ski with a view of the Adriatic Sea and it is just a short drive away from Le Galelle. The resort has pistes from 1300 to 1650 metres, which snake through wonderful beechwoods. The international ski resort of Roccaraso is about an hour away by car. Other ski resorts also within a hour drive. Season is normally January -April, it is possible to hire ski equipment at the resort.
Special interest holidays
There is just so much to see and do in Abruzzo! We operate some small tours so that you can make the most of your stay. They have proved most enjoyable to our guests and as many have promised to return next year, we have included some new ones for 2010! Being a small company we are flexible, so we can alter some days to suit specific requirements.
Travel
We are less then 20 minute drive from Pescara airport, with a regular flight from London Stansted, Flying with Ryanair.
Rome Ciampino airport, is 2 hours drive, with many flight options. Ancona is just less then 2 hours drive, Ryanair has regular flights to Ancona from Stansted airport. Car hire available from Pescara, Rome and Ancona airports. A direct bus travels from Rome to Pescara, there is also a train/Coach service available. From Acona there is a train/Coach service.
Distances
With the apartment in a central location, we are only a 1km to the local village of Rosciano with, medieval tower, bars, mini market, butchers, bakers and restaurants, 10 minutes drive from the main motorway to Rome, 20 minutes from the coast and 40 minutes to the mountains/national park.
Further details
The apartment is conveniently centrally located for all that Abruzzo has to offer. There are many places of interest to visit within an easy drive from the house, From Roman ruins and museums, religious sanctuary, we situated between the National parks of the Gran Sasso and Maijella. (The property has wonderful views of the mountains) also the nature reserves and hermitages, the thermal baths at Caramanico Therme and Poppli. If you enjoy wine tasting we are within a short distance to wine Canteens in Rosciano. If you like shopping Megalo shopping mall with ATM machine/bank. (with over 100 shops and restaurants) is only 10 minutes drive, Pescara town with 10km of sandy beach and all it has to offer, bars, restaurants, shops just 20 minutes away, by car. There are endless walking trails, the routes are well-marked but never very busy. Cycling, canoeing, climbing, horse trekking, skiing and much more. Prices are for the apartment per week, in Euros. A 25% deposit is required at time of booking which is non-refundable and remaining balance to be paid 6 weeks prior to arriving, with a 150.00E refundable breakages/damages deposit is required.
