As you approach Il Gioiello set in a small piazza near the main street in Staffolo, you see that it has been lovingly restored. You enter into a small reception area that the opens into the dining room. The stone wall inside combined with original beams believed to date back to 1580, and the antiques that line every nook give this little house a wonderful warm, cosy and romantic feel. The stairs are set at the back and lead up to the living area, with fireplace and even more antique lined walls. The wood is cleverly stored in the entrance under the door mat. The top floor is the charming en-suite bedroom. This house is the ideal property to spend some time with a loved one discovering the delights of Italy in summer when the thick walls remain cool, and winter when the fire is lit and Il Gioiello shows a different romantic magic, a real step back in time in medieval Italy...

Notes on accommodation
The most beautifully cared for and put together house allowing the guests a real romantic tast of italy. Il Gioiello translated means 'The Jewell' and is the perfect description for this most lavishly furnished town house nestled away in the cobbled streets of the Medieval village of Staffolo.
Accessibility
The house is laid out over three floors.
Outside
It is situated in the centre of Staffolo and leads straight out onto the piazza.
Coast/Beach
Many stunning beaches just 30 minutes away - even though there are beaches within 20 minutes. Monte Conero and Sirrollo offer some of the most beautiful beaches in the north and centre of Italy.
Golf
There is a very good golf course, Conero Golf, just 40 minutes away.
Travel
The nearest airport is Ancona, although Rimini (1.5hours), Pescara (2 hours), Bologna (3 hours), Rome (3.5 hours) are all used - especially economical flights can be found from Ryanair.
Distances
The village of Staffolo is down 2 flights of stairs! This region of Le Marche is awash with medieval towns, stunning cities, festivals and fiera's, wonderful countryside, the best of Italian cuisine and some great shopping!
Booking notes
Changeover times are usually Saturdays but we aim to be as flexible as possible. We request a third of the total booking cost and a £200 refundable security deposit upon booking with the balance 4 weeks prior to your arrival.

Hi, my name is James and my wife is Silvia. I am lucky enough to have been introduced to this wonderful part of Italy by Silvia who is from this region. We reside in England in term time and make the trip back to Italy whenever time and funds allow with our three children. Due to Silvia's connections in Italy and our regular presence we are able to arrange all the necessary services for our guests in Italy.
