Our apartments are situated on the 3rd floor in a small building on a silent and narrow street between the river Arno and Tornabuoni street, a few steps from Ponte Vecchio and Uffizi Gallery, very close to all shops, banks and pharmacies. They have been recently restored by us ourselves according to the rustic Tuscan taste. DANTE apartment is perfect for 2 people but suitable for 3/4. It is composed by a nice bedroom (queen size), a romantic intermediate floor with a multicolour roof window, a large corridor, an original Tuscan kitchen fully equipped, and a bathroom (with shower). Beatrice apartment, just a little bigger, is composed by a lovely bedroom (twin or double), a large and sunny Tuscan kitchen, a living room with a tv corner, a mezzanine with a double sofa bed, and a bathroom (with shower). It can accommodate 2-5 people.

Notes on accommodation
Fired bricks paving, timber ceiling, Tuscan and ancient furnishing. In Dante apartment, we have found and restored an ancient fresco. Cleaning, towels, linen, maid service: Linen and towels are provided and included in the rates. Linen change once a week.

Special interest holidays
I work in the tourism and I can arrange every kind of excursion in the surrounding area and every part of Italy. I am at your disposal for advice and questions. It's a pleasure for me! On request I can run cooking courses in the apartment, based on traditional Tuscan recipes (extra charge).
Travel
Amerigo Vespucci airport (Florence) 8 km shuttle bus every 30 min from/to Central Station. Galileo Galilei airport (Pisa) 90km shuttle bus from/to Central Station (info on www.terravision.it). Train Central station less 700m.
Distances
Everything is handy: Uffizi Gallery, Pitti Palace, Accademia Museum, Boboli Garden... You can reach every place of interest on foot (the best way to discover Florence).
Further details
The apartments are in the city centre at less than 50m from shops, banks, food shops, pharmacies. The train central station is 5 minute walk.
Booking notes
30% advance payment to confirm the booking. The balance cash is due on your arrival. Check in from 3 pm until 9.00 pm. Different time can be concorded in advance with the owner. Check out by 10.00 am on departing day.

'We thoroughly enjoyed our week long stay in early July. Elena is very friendly and provided her mobile number in case we needed to call her for any reason. The apartment was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped for our needs. The apartment was also ideally located on a small street We were easily able to pop back to the apartment during the day for meals or just for a rest. I have been living in Florence since I was born.
I grew up in the little streets of the old historical centre and I can proudly say that I know every corner of this charming maze of streets.
I have been always attracted to foreign languages and cultures and I did this passion for my work.
I work in a travel agency in Florence and renting these family's apartments give me the occasion to share ideas and tips with people from all over the world....furthermore it allows to improve my English:-)

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
The 2 properties were indeed 1 big property that we have divided 10 years ago.
It was my grandparents apartment...my grandfather won the apartment playing the lottery in 1970.
They have been living there until their death, when my parents and I decided to restore and divide in 2 smaller apartments.
Needless to say that the two apartments are for me something very special...a place where I grew up and loved.
we have restored them with love and passion, taking care to preserve the rustic tuscan look....the greater part of the furniture belonged to my grandparents.
Unique benefits of the property
The Dante and Beatrice apartments are a little piece of Florence in Florence. despite the 3rd floor you are really in the centre of everything!
The furniture, the decorations, the original ceilings...everything speaks about the rustic and tuscan feeling.
I think that beyond visiting a place you have above all to live it...and your holiday apartment has to give you an emotion when you enter in.
It has to make you feel at home away home. That's what I try to convey thought my 2 littles "jewels"!
