The nearest restaurant is 3 mins walk and access to the lake is 5 mins drive. Internally the furnishings are of an extremely high standard and are very comfortable.

Coast/Beach
Lake Como is 5 mins drive away, with a small selection of shingle beaches and lido. There are promenades decked with flowers along the lake bank. Car and passenger ferries operate up and down the lake at regular intervals.

18 Hole Menaggio Golf Course 3Kms away with clubhouse. Open March-November.
Skiing
Typical Italian resort of Madesimo is 1.25 Hrs drive and St.Moritz (Switzerland) is 1.5 Hrs Drive.
Travel
Milan Malpensa and Linate airports are within 1 hrs drive. Bergamo Airport (now served by the low-cost airlines) is approx 1.5 hrs drive plus ferry crossing. A car is not essential due to reliable public transport. However, to enjoy the full beauty of the area a car is recommended.
Distances
Menaggio 5 mins drive/20 mins walk. Lake bank dotted with small villages along its length. Villa Carlotta Museum with stunning gardens is 10 mins drive. Town of Como is 30 mins drive or 50 mins by Hydrofoil Ferry. Varenna across the lake and Bellagio in the centre of the lake are a ferry ride away. Switzerland is about half an hour's drive away. Milan is about 1 hr drive.
Further details
Menaggio is on the West coast on the central section of Lake Como with easy access to Switzerland. In the form of an inverted Y the lake has three narrow legs with the towns of Como, Lecco at the southern tips. Extensive passenger and car ferries give access to the whole of the lake so you can explore many of the small villages that are dotted around. Menaggio has plenty of bars, restaurants, shops, two supermarkets, and banks. Two Piazzas form the main focal points of Menaggio on the lake bank where you can while away the hours drinking Prosecco and people watching.
