This area is just a 30 minute drive from the airport and within easy reach of beaches and water sports facilities which include diving and sailing lessons, restaurants, shops, and golf courses. 20 minutes in the car will get you to Cagliari where you can explore the old 'castello' area or take advantage of its designer shops in front of its harbour. This is the perfect place to be for exploring the island! You'll find English language leaflets to help you plan your day - or you can just laze around the pool!

Notes on prices
Prices are in euros & do not include final cleaning (€100) or laundry costs.
A list of laundry prices is given in the booking form. A basic supply of sheets, bath towels, bathmat & tea towels could be less than €12 per person for a week. Prices are based on up to 4 people sharing. Prices from November to end-May do not include the use of the pool. €100 extra would be required to open up the pool in the months of April and May if necessary. All other months include the use of the pool.
Changeover day
There is no set changeover day, we are flexible but as a rule a 10am departure and a 3pm. arrival time are requested depending on other bookings.

Notes on accommodation
The villa has air-conditioning and heating. There is also an open fireplace in the lounge. We recommend up to 4 adults sharing.
Accessibility
While the villa is all on one-floor, there are steps leading to it from the main entrance so may not be suitable for people with mobility problems.
Outside
There is a lovely garden with barbecue facilities next to the private pool which is completely fenced off for safety reasons.
The ample covered patio overlooks this garden area and is furnished for alfresco dining (large table seating six) with additional table & seating for extra 4 people. The pool, which measures approx 5x8m is at the moment unheated. There is also an outdoor shower area.
Coast/Beach
The nearest beach, is a 10 minute stroll away but there are endless accessible beaches all along the coast, plus water sports facilities including sailing, diving and surfing at nearby Capitana or further along the coast at Villasimius.
Golf
The newly opened Tanca Golf Club & pizzeria at Flumini is only a few minutes away in the car. There is also the Is Molas Golf Course at S. Margherita (Pula) at about 50km south-west of Cagliari. The Villasimius golf course is at about 30 minutes further along the coast road going east.
Special interest holidays
Italian lessons are available upon request and a qualified teacher will come to the villa with everything necessary for an exciting Italian course at a very reasonable cost.
Travel
The Cagliari airport of Elmas is a 25 minute drive away.
The picturesque Cagliari harbour, right in the centre of town,
is also just a 20 minute drive. Car hire is recommended since public transport is not particularly efficient.
Distances
The nearest village is Flumini which is 5 minutes away by car. Here you can get all you need in the way of household supplies. The beautiful historic town of Cagliari is a 20 minute drive away. The holiday resort of Villasimius is about 30 minutes in the car. There are many places of interest on the island. English language leaflets and brochures in the villa will give you details.
Further details
In the nearest village of Flumini, there is a post office with cash point, a pharmacy, small but well-stocked supermarkets, several other shops including a butchers, greengrocers, and the inevitable bars, restaurants and pizzerias! There is a beach bar on the nearest beach where you can have a delicious lunch, too! You would have to travel into Quartu (about 10 minutes by car) or Cagliari for a bank. Check out the new golf course in nearby Flumini!The Marina area of Capitana is less than 3kms away and here you'll have the chance of sailing lessions, boat excursions, etc.
Booking notes
A reservation fee of 30% of the rental fee for the period booked is necessary to secure a booking. The remaining 70% rental fee, plus a 250 euro security deposit against loss or damages, plus the final cleaning and laundry charges (calculated on total linen required) to be paid on arrival when the villa keys are handed over to you. The 250 euro security deposit will be refunded on departure provided no damage or loss has occurred.

About the owner
I was born a long time ago in London but came to Sardinia in 1974 for professional reasons. I fell in love with the island, the people, the climate, and later on with my husband, Corrado. I have 2 children. The eldest, Stefano, lives and works in Paris. The youngest, Cristina, is still at home with us. I've completely changed my life style since I came here from the UK and I've even learned how to cook decently and that's why I'm overweight! I work as a translator and interpreter and am often in schools teaching English. In the summer, I run my holiday venture for my own properties as well as those of relatives and/or friends who either live abroad or don't speak any English!
