Casa Tieve Tara was restored and reconstructed in 2006 utilising the original beams, pantiles, stone and brick to re-create this 150 year old farmhouse to exacting modern standards. The house has 3 double super king bedrooms and an annex less than 10 metres distant with a 4th double super king en-suite bedroom. The property enjoys the sun from the softly coloured dawn to prosecco sunset. Alfresco dining seating 8-10, for relaxing breakfasts, languid lunches and dining, is situated alongside a luxury kitchen. This fully fenced, electric gated rural property is only 5 minutes drive from Sant' Angelo with its supermarket, bars, three restaurants, phamacy and bank. Adriatic sandy beaches with safe bathing and fresh fish restaurants are less than an hour's drive. Mountain drives and walks, with skiing in the winter are 50 minutes away. Macerata, the provincial capital (30 mins), hosts a famous opera festival in July/August.

Prices are for the property per week in UK Pounds.
There is a 5% reduction for second and subsequent weeks. For groups with less than 8 guests, deduct £50 per person per week (eg 6 guests, deduct 2 x £50 = £100 per week). For rentals outside the above periods please contact us.
Changeover day
Changeover day is Saturday. Arrival should not be before 4pm. Guests should vacate the house by 10am on the day of departure.

Towels and bedlinen along with pool towels are provided. The house will be thoroughly cleaned prior to arrival. Weekly linen change and bathroom clean. Further cleaning can be arranged and paid for locally. |

Notes on accommodation
Tieve Tara has been furnished by the owners as a home and contains quality furnishings along with selected antiques. The pool is not fenced so all children should be carefully watched.
Accessibility
The house consists of two stories with a traditional staircase. Outside is accessible at one level bar a 2 step drop to the pergola area. The pool room bedroom is single story and accessible without steps. The house does not have any specifically designed disabled amenities such as toilets.
Outside
The garden has been laid out to lawn with perimeter plantings. The swimming pool 12 m (39'-4") x 4.5 m (14'-9") is 1.15 m (3'-9") deep at the shallow end which extends to almost half the pool. At the deep end 1.9 m (6'-3") deep there is a ledge at the sides of the same depth as the shallow end. 8 quality sunbeds are provided. Badminton or volley ball can be played on the lawn. There is a gas barbecue with three burners linked to the main gas tank of the house so will not run out! There is also an 'alla brace' barbecue for the more adventurous similar to those you will enjoy in the local Le Marche restaurants. 5 large umbrellas are also provided. The pool is very private with fabulous views from your sunbeds. The property extends to 21 acres of which 14 are fenced meadows surrounding the house with electric gates. The balance 7 acres are forest and woodland which you look over as you enjoy the general view over the pastoral valleys towards the backdrop of the Sibilini Mountains.
Coast/Beach
55 mins to sandy beaches. The nearest beaches around Porto San Giorgio are sandy and safe with sunbeds, umbrellas and changing facilities available. There are many fresh Adriatic seafood restaurants for lunch catering for the whole family that are actually on the beach itself. Travelling further to the south you come the 'grander' resort of San Benedetto del Tronto. To the north at about an hours drive there is the picturesque 'Conero Riviera' with shingle beaches and beautiful scenery.
Golf
The owners are keen golfers but there is only one good course in Le Marche situated at Sirolo called Conero Golf Club near the capital Ancona. It is an hour's drive from Tieve Tara so golf is a full day out. It is an 18 hole course. The clubhouse has a swimming pool and excellent dining facilities. We have recently found a challenging little 9 hole course which is situated in a valley with some distant views of the sea. It is called Golf Club I Lauri and is situated inland from the seaside town of Pesaro at about an hours drive from the house. The clubhouse also does a nice lunch. There is a driving range about 20 minutes drive from the house.
Skiing
In Winter two skiing areas are available. Sassotetto, visible from the house with binoculars, is 45 minutes drive away and Visso is a little further at about an hours drive.
Travel
The nearest airport is at Ancona 80 minutes drive away. This is served by Ryan air from Stansted. If you live near Gatwick it could be better to use BA and fly to Bologna and then have 2 hour 45 min drive to the house. Guests in the past have also used Ryan air to Rimini from East Midlands airport with a 2 hour drive to the house. Calais the drive is 1000 miles to the house with 15 hours of driving. Other airports are Pescara 1 hour 45 mins, Perugia 1 hour 45 mins and Rome 3 hours 30 mins.

Further details
Sant' Angelo our local village is a beautiful hilltop town 5 mins drive away. There are 3 restaurants, 3 bars, a small but adequate supermarket, a bakery, 2 butchers, 2 vegetable shops, a pharmacy, and a bank with an ATM. A larger supermarket is 15 mins away and large ones 30 mins away. On fridays and some other days there is a visiting mobile fresh fish van. In all there are at least 9 good restaurants within 20 mins drive details of which are available in the house.
When you arrive for your holiday you will be met in Sant' Angelo by Hilarie who lives locally and will take you to Tieve Tara and introduce to the property. She will be available for any queries you may have during your stay. A welcome pack is also provided to get you started.
Please do not arrive before 4.00 pm at the start of your holiday and please leave by 10.00 am at the end, in order to facilitate a thorough preparation of the property.
Booking notes
A £300 deposit per week rented is required at the time of booking. The balance is required 8 weeks before commencement of the holiday along with a returnable security deposit of £350.
