The house is part of an old farm called Morandicci di Sotto, near Bibbiano, an ancient village with a beautiful church of the 17th century. The house is on a hill and there is a very beautiful view of vineyards and of the famous Castle of Nipozzano of the family Frescobaldi. The garden is completely fenced and the entrance is independent. In the garden there are mainly olive trees and oaks. The swimming pool is only 17 meters from the house and is surrounded by olive trees. From the solarium of the pool you will be albe to see a really wonderful landscape. No modern houses, no factories. Only vineyards, olive trees and woods and beautiful old farms. In the staircase of the swimming pool there is a whirlpool, where guests will be able to relax. The swimming pool also has counterflow swimming, for guests who like sport. The location of the property, immersed in nature, allows beautiful walks in the woods or mountain bike tours. In the garden there is a covered parking lot.

Towels and linen are included. The property is cleaned before arrival and after departure of the guests. Laundry is changed once a week. Towels for the swimming pool are not included. |

Accessibility
This property is not suitable for people with mobility problems because there are stairs.
Outside
The garden, completely fenced, is private and used only by the guests. Also the pool (12x6 metes and from 1.10 to 1.40 metres deep) is not shared with other people. The garden is natural, with wonderful olive trees and a very very old oak plus other oaks and some fruit trees. Next to the pool there is a solarium/terrace, furnished, with barbecue, table to eat outside, chairs and beds to lay in the sun. The view from the large terrace of the house and from the pool is spectacular!

The closest golf club is Golf Club Ugolino, near Florence, 28kms from the property.
Travel
The bus station is 1.5kms from the house. The closest train station is in Pontassieve (7kms away). Florence airport Peretola is 50kms away (one hour drive). Airport Galileo Galilei in Pisa is 112kms far (one hour and a half drive). Train station of Florence is 27kms away.
Distances
The nearest village is Diacceto where there is a grocery store (5 minutes drive). The town of Pontassieve is 7kms.
To reach Florence guests can take the bus (1.5kms from the house) or the train from Pontassieve (7kms) or reach Florence by car (20/25 minutes).
Further details
If guests like shopping, 14kms from the house there is the very famous outlet called 'The Mall' with shops of Gucci, Ferragamo, Valentino, etc. One hour drive from the house there is the outlet of Prada. Of course, Florence is only 30 minutes away, with all the wonderful buildings, museums, churches and shops.

About the owner
I was born in 1961 and I live in Florence. I have two children, a girl of 17 and a boy of 19. I have been working with my husband in a veterinarian clinic. I love history of art so I often visit museums. I also love reading, mainly authors of the 19th century. I love Florence, my hometown.
Year purchased: 1970's
Why the owner chose a home in this location
The house has been bought by my father in 1972. It was a farm, which was built in 1892. My parents remodeled it and moved to live in it. In the 90' they built an apartment in the house in front of the main one and last year the apartment has been remodeled and we built the swimming pool. We love the place because it seems to be still in the 19th century. No modern houses around, no horrible factories, no pollution. Only olive trees, woods, vineyards.
Unique benefits of the property
The peculiarity of this property, besides being in a real wonderful place, in front of the Castle of Nipozzano, where it is possible to have wine tastes, is that there are no other guests (we rent only one house) and that the guests have the sole use of the pool. We are not a crowded agriturismo!
