Notes on accommodation
A private walled drive of 90 metres leads to the spacious villa which stands in its own grounds opposite the castle-like Masseria Coccolo. The villa has been installed with solar water heating, new gas boiler, radiators and wood-burner for all occasions of weather, air condition units in all bedrooms and lounge. Re-wired in June 08.
Accessibility
Our villa is suitable for people with mobility problems apart from a small step onto the patio everything in the villa is all on one level, the swimming pool has a hand rail for those a little unsteady
Outside
Roof terrace for warm evenings. Sun loungers, tables and barbecue, seating for the patio and by the 12 x 6mtr pool. The pool is open from April to October.
Coast/Beach
The closest beach is at Specchiola (3kms drive) but the whole coast around Ostuni is beautiful with many 'Blue Flag' beaches. Small beaches are interspersed with rocky bays which are used as 'harbours' for small fishing boats.
Golf
Golf at Fasano (35 minutes) and at Taranto (70 minutes).
Travel
Brindisi Airport is about 25kms (less than half an hours drive). Bari Airport is about 70 minutes drive (about 80kms). Car hire is essential.
Further details
A hire car is essential to allow you to visit places of interest (almost all within an hours drive) like Galipoli, Lecce, Alborobello, Locorotondo, Fasano. Good food, good wine, good weather and an easy pace of life...no need to rush here-take it easy- enjoy la dolce vite or just chill by the pool in your own villa with friends and a nice glass of wine.
