Accessibility
Located on the main street of Barga and having the rare luxury of a lift, the property is ideal for all ages and mobility.
Outside
Large private garden with furniture, waterfall, lighting and beautiful plants, landscaped with love and care and secured by gates from main entrance. Patios (2) have fabulous views with concealed lighting, garden furniture and loungers.
Coast/Beach
The Versilian Coast Resorts of Viareggio, Forte di Marmi and Lido di Camaiore are within easy driving distance. Spectacular twisty roads take you high into areas where the famous Carrara marble is still being excavated. The less adventurous can take the expressway to the beach although they may encounter heavy traffic during the month of August. The Versilian coast also offers much in the way of nightlife and cultural activities.
Golf
Nearest golf course is in Forte Di Marmi (45 minutes by car), the riviera of Tuscany with miles of beaches, shops and restaurants. 18 holes with spectacular views and 5* hotel.
Skiing
Skiing at top resort Abetone is only 45 minutes drive away.
Travel
Pisa 1 hour, Milan and Venice 2 hours 45 minutes.
Car recommended and can be hired in the village.

About the owner
We are resident in Dubai, having lived here for 12 years. We enjoy entertaining and in partcular Italian food and culture.
Running our own Human Resources business we have little time for vacation and when we do travel it needs to be unique, very special and beautiful, Barga meets all of our requirements.

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
On holiday in Lucca attending the music festival we toured the surrounding region looking for unique, friendly and unusual villages.
Barga was shown to us by very special people at Tuscan Homes (Scottish/Italian) and we immedialtely fell in love with the area, the walled city and especially the renovated apartment with its history, location and amazing views.
The quality of renovation, use of authentic materials, central location and design of the appartment met all of our needs both as a rental property and a long term vacation home.
Dramatically perched on the hilltop it also has easy access to excellent restaurants, shops, vineyards, skiing, beach and golf. Barga has it all for us!
Unique benefits of the property
We enjoy walking in, opening the balcony doors, cooking in the lovely kitchen, eating at the great restaurants and just enjoying the ambience of a true Italian Village.
