Very unusual, exceptionally spacious trullo/modern country house beautifully restored. Casa Vita is a luxurious, spacious and airy trullo conversion just 4km from Ostuni. The outdoor kitchen, various patio areas, pergola and veranda with seating and hammocks in the trees are all perfect for lazing in the sun or shade. There is a freeform swimming pool and table tennis for the more energetic. Free Wi-fi is available at all times.

Preferred changeover day Saturday. Arrival time 5pm, departure time 10.30am, but out of peak season we can be more flexible.

Living Rooms: Very large lounge with 2 separate seating areas. 42" flat screen TV. Sky TV with many English speaking channels. DVD/CD player with great sound system. Ipod dock. Nintendo Wii. Working fire. Good supply of books, DVDs, CDs and games.
Other: Beautiful arched hallways with further wardrobe space. Wi fi available at all times.

All linen and towels are provided, the property is cleaned once a week on Saturdays. Extra cleaning/laundry changes can be arranged at extra cost. Pool towels provided.

Notes on accommodation
The house has full central heating, together with beautiful log fire and two wood burning stoves should you wish to rent in the winter. WI FI is available at all times.

Accessibility
House is on one level, the only internal steps are to the 4th bedroom. There is a step from each of the external doors to gardens.

Outside
Private freeform (approx 13 x 7m) pool. Wide steps from shallow (0.9m) to deep (1.9m) end. Surrounded by large patio with plenty of sunbeds. Large pergola with table tennis table. Large outdoor kitchen with fridge, barbecue, sink, built in cushioned seating and separate chairs, dining table to the left of pool. Large covered veranda with further seating between pool and house. More patio areas to the front of the house, but we have tried to keep part of the grounds, with 100 trees including fig, pomegranate, peach, cherry, orange, quince and olives natural as possible whilst adding flowers, plants and hammocks amongst the trees. There is an exceptionally large roof terrace which nestles amongst the trees, with views towards Ostuni and Ceglie. We place very large plants pots on the steps to prevent children going onto the terrace unsupervised, but these can be moved depending on your requirements.

Coast/Beach
Beautiful beaches on Adriatic coast - 10 mins drive. You can chose between sandy beaches, rocky coves, resorts with bars & restaurants or totally unspoilt beaches. Ionian coast is about an hours drive with more beautiful beaches.

Golf
Excellent golf courses at Savelletri near Fasano approx 20 minutes drive. San Domenico golf course approx 40 mins drive.

Travel
Brindisi airport 30 mins. Bari airport 55 mins. Direct flights from London and easy connections from other provincial airports. We recommend car hire.

Distances
Ostuni 4km. Ceglie 4km. Many other places of interest within easy driving distance.

Further details
Nearest supermarket approx 5 mins drive. The many shops, restaurants, banks etc in Ostuni are about 10 minutes drive, with Ceglie offering further options being the same distance. However we would suggest trying the fantastic Saturday market in Ostuni for all shopping requirements.

Booking notes
Non-refundable deposit of 20% to be received within 10 days. Your reservation will then be confirmed. Balance to be paid no later than 6 weeks prior to arrival. Refundable security deposit of £500 required with final payment, this will be refunded after the house has been checked.

Beautiful property. Even better than depicted in photos. Local towns of Ostuni, Cisternino and Alberobello in particular were stunning - going back to the villa for prosseco on the roof terrace followed by dinner in the outdoor kitchen by the pool a true delight. The Gleasons, September 2009.

About the owner
We first came to Ostuni in November 2005 for a long weekend. We were so captivated by the area that when we saw the shell of what was to become Casa Vita just hours before leaving to return to London we decided we had to buy it. After months turned into years, with the builder constantly saying the house would be finished "next month" we decided to come over for a few months to ensure, together with the architect, that the house would be completed. It was finally finished in 2008 and we were so happy here that we decided to take the brave step of giving up our careers in London and making our lives down here in Puglia, something we have never regretted.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
We fell in love with Puglia for its food, climate, beautiful beaches, both on Adriatic and Ionian coasts and friendly local people. However it was the trulli which are unique to the area which really intrigued us. Ostuni is an enchanting town a very short distance from the countryside in which Casa Vita is situated. so we have the best of both worlds - peace and quiet at the house with easy access to wonderful restaurants, bars and all the open air concerts in the local towns. The many lovely beaches on both the Adriatic and Ionian coasts are all an easy drive from the house.

Unique benefits of the property
The swimming pool and many shaded areas are an obvious hit with everyone as is the outdoor kitchen. The house is unique in that it has been converted from two original trulli in such a way that it is genuinely extremely spacious.
