Refurbished over two years ago these homes combine modern luxury with traditional Tuscan stone and chestnut beams.
Air-conditioned with seperate control in each room. Suitable for children. We also offer weekend and long stay breaks off season and excellent rates. Great for walking and cycling in March and April and sample many of the local wines especially the Brunello Di Montalcino. Ideal location for a base as we are only 20 mins from Siena, 45 mins from Florence, 1hr 50min from Rome, 10 Mins to Montalcino, 5 mins from Pienza home of the English Patient.

We had an amazing week. As we were driving there, we turned a corner along the road somewhere and the scenery took our breath away. Every hillside seemed to grow in beauty and our anticipation increased as we neared Podere Ampella and it more than met our expectations. That first evening, as we sat outside in the peaceful garden, a small bird was flying around overhead and the sun was setting towards San Giovanni D'Asso, and we relaxed for the first time in a long time. The week was wonderful. The house had everything we needed and more. We were really impressed with how beautifully finished the rooms were. We travelled to many of the surrounding villages and ate some incredible food (I'm still dreaming of a restaurant we visited in Montalcino--the pasta with truffle sauce was unlike anything I've tasted before). I love the way the hills looked when covered with that hazy glow. You were very kind, he made some wonderful suggestions to us for places to see. Andrea Holland
