Aside from the many attractions of the lake, Tresnico is ideally situated for walks and hikes in the delightful Parco Alto Garda and is perfectly placed for day trips to some of Northern Italy’s most beautiful cities. It is the type of romantic hideaway that is a delight to visit in winter months as well as summer. It is also an inspirational spot for artists and writers.

Changeover day
Changeover day is Saturday. Arrival not before 3 pm. Departure by 10 am. Out of season there is room for flexibility.

Terraced garden with olive trees, bay trees, oleanders and other decorative plants. Delightful triangular dining terrace with views to the lake and overlooking a classic olive grove.
Coast/Beach
The Villa is 10 minutes drive from the lakeside - only 1 mile down the hill on foot. There are public beaches and lakeside clubs situated in most villages around the lake. Boat rental is available.
Golf
Bogliaco - 7 miles. One of the oldest golf courses in Italy and recently extended from 9 to 18 holes. Really charming.
Garda Golf - 10 miles - championship golf course - 27 holes.
Skiing
Madonna di Campiglio - 75 miles.
Travel
Verona Airport - 38 miles. Bergamo Airport - 36 miles. Milan Airport (Linate) - 78 miles. A car is essential. Car rental at all airports or locally.
Distances
San Michele - 1 mile above Tresnico.
Gardone - 4 miles by road, 1 mile on foot.
Salo - 5 miles.
Further details
San Michele has a good village shop and a few nice restaurants. Gardone has numerous restaurants and bars, shopping and a lovely lakeside promenade. Attractions include botanical gardens and "il Vittoriale", a fascinating Villa and museum which was the residence of the celebrated d'Annunzio.
The pretty lakeside town of Salo is full of excellent restaurants, bars, shops and supermarkets. There is a Saturday market. Verona is only 1 hour away by car and has the famous open-air opera in the amphitheatre during the summer months.
