La Doccia is a lovely example of a restored Tuscan barn. It has its own swimming pool, garden terrace and lovely views of the countryside, yet is only a short walk medieval San Gimignano, therefore perfectly placed to explore all this beautiful town has to offer. This lovely detached barn is nicely furnished in traditional Tuscan style and has air-conditioning throughout (payable locally). Many original features such as terracotta tiled floors beamed ceilings and charming slanted bricks on the bedroom windows have all been retained. A few steps from the house is a lovely garden terrace with pergola, table and chairs and barbecue. The large private swimming pool is in a lovely position, surrounded by grass lawn and secluded by olive trees, it enjoys a fine view of the countryside. The grounds are fully enclosed and there is covered parking. It is perfectly placed for exploring San Gimignano and the rest of Tuscany's treasures are easily accessible via nearby road, bus and rail links.

It is not essential to have a car here. The town of San Gimignano and its shops, supermarket and restaurants is within easy walking distance (10 minutes, 300 metres approx). Main towns can be reached by local transport (bus and rail). The Tuscan countryside and smaller towns are more easily explored if you have the use of a car.
