Coast/Beach
Versilia is 20 min on the autostrada, but public transport is recommended. From the marina in Viareggio, you may take a daily summer ferry to the Cinque Terre, which is also easily reached by car.
Golf
Closest courses within 25min. to Montecatini or Forte dei Marmi, which is a 40 minute drive.
Skiing
Abetone is a popular local ski resort 70 kilo. from Lucca. This resort is 1400 metres high with numerous runs for all abilities, along with ski schools and snow boarding.
Travel
Nearest airport is Pisa approx. 40 min Genoa or Bologna are 2.5 hours from Lucca.
Distances
You are within a three minute walk to the Walls and can therefore enjoy your day in the City and walk back to the apartment using the train station underpass.
