Imagine sunning yourself by the poolside, whilst surveying the panorama of Lake Como and the nearby mountains and all this within a 3 minute drive of the quaint lakeside village of Argegno with its buzzing Piazza with wine bars and restaurants. This stunning location has everything! It is both private and tranquil on a hillside above the lakeside village of Argegno. The privately owned properties are approached from a narrow private road and each property has been designed with privacy in mind with plenty of outside areas to sunbathe and BBQ. The properties are all brand new. All properties have stunning lake views from their private balconies and terraces. The location benefits from maximum sunshine, all day long, due to its hillside position. The 3 villas each have their own private pool. The 4 apartments have a shared pool.

Changeover day
Preferred change over date for the villas in peak and high season is Saturday or Sunday. There is flexibility out of season. Apartments can be changed over any day.

Villa Lilla sleeps 8 - 5 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms

Interior designed to a very high standard, hence no children under 10 and no pets are allowed. The villa is laid out over 3 floors. Top floor: 2 en suite bedrooms, a master bedroom with large en-suite bathroom containing bath and walk in shower and a guest room with a double bed and en suite shower room. Both rooms have a balcony with stunning lake views. Ground floor: main villa living area with open plan stylish kitchen and dining area, with 2 ovens, dishwasher and microwave. The lounge area has 3 large patio doors, providing stunning lake views and large satellite TV screen. There is also a single study/bedroom and cloak room with sink and WC. Basement: 2 twin bedrooms, shower room, open plan lounge/ relax area. It has its own private entrance and parking. It can be accessed either privately or internally from the ground floor. Externally: private and sunny pool with decking, lawned sunbathing areas and car parking for several cars.

Villa Rosa sleeps 10 - 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms

The villa is on 2 floors with the living area on the top floor to maximise the panoramic lake views. The ground floor has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. 2 double bedrooms at the front overlooking the lake, and 1 triple and 1 twin bedroom at the rear, one overlooking the garden and one overlooking the pool. There are 2 shower rooms on this floor. The top floor is the main living area and is open plan with stylish fully fitted kitchen with dishwasher. The living area has large patio doors, providing stunning lake views. There is an additional wc & shower on this level and 2 sofa beds. There is also a huge terrace overlooking the lake for al fresco dining or sunbathing. The lovely pool is both private and sunny at the side of the villa. There is also a garden area for sunbathing.

2 ground floor apartments - each 2 bedroom, 1 bath

There are just two lovely 2 bedroom apartments on the ground floor. Each has stunning, lake views and plenty of outside space for alfresco dining or just soaking up the all-day sunshine. They each have 1 twin bedroom and 1 double bedroom + bathroom with shower. The light-filled open plan lounge and kitchen/dining areas have patio doors with panoramic views overlooking the lake. There is a double sofa bed in the lounge. The garden area, overlooks the lake and is equipped with sun beds, deck chairs and dining tables.

2 first floor apartments - each 2 bedroom, 1 bath

There are just two lovely 2 bedroom apartments on the first floor. Each has stunning, uninterrupted 180-degree lake views and plenty of outside space for alfresco dining or just soaking up the all-day sunshine. They each have 1 twin and 1 double bedroom + bathroom with shower. The light-filled open plan lounge and kitchen/dining areas have patio doors with panoramic views overlooking the lake. There is a double sofa bed in the lounge. The stunning wrap-around balcony has panoramic lake views and is equipped with sun beds, deck chairs and dining tables.

Notes on accommodation
A refundable damage deposit of 500 euro for villas and 250 euro for apartments is required in cash on arrival (refunded prior to depatrure). Air-conditioning is not required as the hill side location provides cooling breezes at night time. Villa Rosa and Villa Lilla also has the benefit of WIFI and Sky TV. The other properties all have free WIFI access.

Well-behaved, pets are accepted in all properties, except for Villa Lilla. Please enquire.

Accessibility
Villa Lilla is accessed directly from the private road. and has a private driveway with parking for 2 cars. The other properties each have ample parking below. A car is recommended for easy access to the lakeside. Please note the access roads, whilst being public roads, are steep and narrow. We would not recommend arriving with an 8-seater minibus, but standard cars and people carriers can pass through.

Outside
All of the villas have private gardens and patios furnished with deck chairs, dining tables and sunbeds. The apartments have either balconies or gardens. Pool areas are equipped with sun loungers and umbrellas.

Coast/Beach
A 3 minutes drive down hill takes you to the lakeside of Argegno, where you will find a lakeside lido where you can sunbathe and swim safely in the lake. There are several other lidos within easy driving distance with pools and sunbathing area as well as restaurant facilities e.g. Villa Olmo, Cadenabbio and Menaggio.

Golf
The historic golf club of Menaggio (one of the oldest in Europe) is located just 20 minutes drive away. There are also several other golf clubs within easy driving distance.

Skiing
There are a host of ski resorts in both Italy and Switzerland from around 1 hour 30 mins driving distance including St Moritz, Madesimio and Bormio to name just a few.

Travel
Mian Malpensa - 72 kms, 60-75 minutes
Milan Linate - 69 kms, 55-65 minutes
Milan Bergamo -75 kms, 60-75 minutes

A minibus (up to 8 seats) transfer can be arranged from any of the above airports as follows: Malpensa/Linate 150 euro, Bergamo 180 euro.

Argegno - 2 minutes by car or 15 minutes walk through picturesque hamlets.
Como - 15 minutes by car or ferry
Bellagio - 10 minutes by ferry

Further details
A popular destination for tourists, Argegno is situated in a large inlet on the western shore of Lake Como at the mouth of the Val d’Intelvi. It has a pleasant climate and is mild even in the winter months. With its’ beautiful panoramic location, one can see from the headland of Bellagio to the north and as far as Nesso towards the south. Argegno offers a surprising amount of facilities for a quaint lakeside fishing village – 5 good restaurants/pizzerias, 2 excellent wine bars (Enoteca and Bar Colombo), serving free snacks at aperitivo time every day. There are 2 banks with cash points and a small store. And you won’t be able to resist Andrea’s home-made ice creams (made with whatever is available fresh that day, including cucumber!). The scent of the bakery will draw you up the narrow alleyways to find fresh brioche (croissants) and bread, baked daily on the premises by Louisa. Buy fresh vegetables from Mario and ask him for one of his superb recipes – always served with smile and he speaks excellent English. If that wasn’t enough, the village also now boasts a beautician and 2 hairdressers! Argegno is also within striking distance of all Lake Como’s treasures, as it is a main bus and ferry stop-off point for the rest of the lake. Villa Balbianello (Star Wars & James Bond) is just around the corner, Villa Carlotta a short ferry ride away, as are Bellagio, Menaggio and Varenna – get a centre lake ticket and visit all three in one day. The village is certainly of Roman origin, as it owes its’ name to the consul Publio Cesio Archigene. At one time Argegno was part of a defensive system, which extended as far as the ancient villa of Lenno and the Isola Comacina to obstruct the passage of invaders. Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
This has to be the most stunning location on the Lake. We had been searching for the perfect plot of land since arriving here 15 years ago. We finally found it just 7 years ago and then had to go through the bureaucratic nightmare of planning permission. But finally at the end of summer 2009 we moved into our dream home here and we love it and think you will too!The views are truly panoramic. The location as peaceful and unspoilt as you would expect from a tiny hamlet, yet within a 3-5 minute drive of the bustling lake side village of Argegno, where you can find everything from fine dining to cheap pizzas, great wine bars with free food at aperitivi time every day and a lake side lido where you can soak up the sun, if you can drag yourself away from the villa's lake view pool.

Unique benefits of the property
The location is truly panoramic, being located on a steep hillside. As well as stunning lake views, you also have the backdrop of magestic mountains.
