A light and spacious 2 bedroom riverside apartment, overlooking the River Piave, situated in the beautiful medieval town of Belluno. Only 1 hour's drive from Venice and the coast. A great place for a romantic holiday and for sightseeing. Easy access to restaurants and bars makes sampling the excellent local cuisine and enjoying a chilled glass of Proseco a must. For the more active there is a ski resort only 20 mins away, while golf, swimming, hiking, cycling, fishing, windsurfing, kite-surfing, horse-riding and ski-ing are all within easy reach.

The Adriatic beaches such as Lido d'Jesolo are only 50 miles away. There is swimming/beach at the nearby Lake Santa Croce.

The nearest ski resort is a 20 mins drive by car. Others within an hour's drive from the apartment. Easy access to the 'Super Ski Dolomite' area, one of the largest ski areas in Europe and includes the resort Cortina D'Ampezzo
Travel
The airports of Venice Treviso is 30 miles away and Venice Marco Polo is 53 miles away, car hire is available at both airports. Use of car is recommended.
Distances
The apartment is short walk from the centre of Belluno. Venice is 1 hour's drive away and can be reached by train. Mountain walks and the famous 'Via Ferrata' only 5 miles away while half hour's drive will take you to the beautiful towns of Vittorio Veneto and Feltre.
Further details
There is a small supermarket selling everything just minutes walk away. A wealth of restaurants, pizzerias, cafes and wine bars all located in the centre of Belluno as well as all the other amenities a town can offer, such as, train station, banks, supermarkets, butchers, bakeries, greengrocers etc and a market on Saturdays.

About the owner
My husband and I bought the apartment two years ago. We both enjoy skiing in the winter and walking in the summer. We fell in love with Belluno and the surrounding area, where we have enjoyed many wonderful holidays.

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
We love it because it is so conveniently placed for Venice, the mountains and lots of good restaurants. The town of Belluno nestles in the foothills of the Dolomites and is unspoiled by tourists. We also chose the apartment because it is located on the banks of the river Piave.
Unique benefits of the property
Walking into the old town for a glass of Prosecco before our evening meal. Listening to the sounds of the river and watching fishermen leisurely casting a fly for alpine trout. In the winter heading out from the apartment, up to the mountains for a days skiing and in the summer returning from a long walk in the hills to enjoy a cool beer on the balcony.
