Non smoking. Situated on a small residence with large swimming pool open 1st July-15th September. We are located on the edge of Scalea and 5 minutes walk from the lovely village of Marcellina with all amenities. The long stretch of beach is a 15 minute walk, where there are plenty of cafes, bars and shops. Non smoking.

Notes on accommodation
Non-smoking. Air-conditioning (including warm air out of season), shutters and mosquito blinds on all windows. The property is all on ground level with lockable garden gate and is suitable for children. The large pool has a good size shallow area which is suitable for children who should always be supervised.

Nice patio area with outside lighting and gas and charcoal barbecue. Outside shower and tap. Patio table with six chairs plus two modern deckchairs. Garden also has lighting. The pool is open 1st July to 15th September only. Supermarket on site.
Coast/Beach
1200 metres/15 minute walk to long sandy beach. Plenty of private and public areas and lots of quiet stretches. Close to clear shallow bathing waters of the River Lao. Maratea – marina and nice port, old world charm, lovely secluded beaches, known as 'Jewel of Basilicata', 20km. Cirella - very quiet beach and amphitheatre - 5km.
Travel
Easyjet now flying from Gatwick, Stansted and Liverpool to Naples. Flights to Lamezia Terme airport with Ryanair from Stansted. Also Naples and Rome from Luton, Gatwick, Heathrow, Stansted, Birmingham, East Midlands, Manchester, Dublin, Leeds and others. By train, Scalea and Marcellina are easily accessible with direct lines from Lamezia, Rome or Naples. By road, Scalea is 1 hour 20 mins from Lamezia and 2.5 hours from Naples and 4.5 hours from Rome. Trains from Marcellina along the coast.

5 minute walk to lovely village of Marcellina with all amenities, 2 minute walk to restaurants. 15 minute walk to beach front with cafes, bars, restaurants and shops. 5 minute drive to Scalea, which is a large popular resort in Summer with many amenities. The climate here is amongst the best in the Mediterranean with long hot Summers and very short mild Winters, which means that for 9 months of the year Scalea stays well over 20 degrees C.

Aqua park in Praia a Mare on the beach near Isola Dino. Pollino National Park, nature mountains lakes etc, located 15 min drive from Scalea - hiking, camping, mountain biking, bird watching etc. Scalea is a picturesque town situated in Calabria in southern Italy, on the sunny Tyrrhenian coast. Surrounded by sea and mountains. The old town is placed on the heights and preserves the remains of an ancient wall, while towards the beach, the Scalea Marina centre has recently been developed. These enchanting beaches look out onto a sea of incomparable beauty. Between July and the start of September it is very busy in Scalea with parties, disco's, markets, local festivals etc. Scalea is well serviced by many restaurants, supermarkets, clothes shops and has entertainment during its Summer feria from July to September.
