Rocciaviva Apartment (2 Bedroom, Sleeps 3/5)

Rocciaviva has a living room/dining area with a large comfortable sleep sofa and lounge chairs. The windows face the views to the valley. To one side of the room, the owner has retained the old troughs where the animals were fed. From the living room there is direct access to a private terrace paved with handmade bricks and furnished with chairs and marble tables. The kitchen, with doors to the terrace and to the living room/dining area, is spacious and well equipped A corridor leads from the apartment’s entrance to the living. To the left is a double bedroom. From the double bedroom, you reach a single bedroom that has its own entrance from the outside and its own terrace. The beds have firm mattresses and European style feather comforters. Across the corridor from the bedroom area is a large modern bathroom with a shower. Access to the farmhouse is via a road that winds up the hillside and passes the castle of Campello Alto. The road is asphalted.

Notes on accommodation
Rocciaviva Atelier is perched just above the olive groves with incredible views of Campello Alto below. It's a unique place where the old world meets new - a stylish loft nestled at the edge of a peaceful Mediterranean forest. Created by architect Martin Stubenrauch, it is a perfect spot for people who want to be surrounded by an impeccably designed space with both charm and sophistication - and all the comfort you need.

A contemporary aesthetic mixed with the warmth of the old world, the Atelier will appeal to those who are attracted to the playfully eccentric.

The architect used his love of clean lines and open light filled spaces in partnership with his sensibility for the Umbrian tradition that carries with it the wonderful stone and iron work of fine craftsmen. The entire place becomes a celebration of breathtaking views over the 10th century Castello of Campello Alto and the splendor of the Valley Umbra. It is fully heated.

Accessibility

Outside
Rocciaviva Apartment has two very private terraces that face the valley with splendid views.

The Atelier, while a bit higher in altitude, shares the same views but is located in the forest.

Both have outdoor furniture for eating and lounging.

In the nearest village of La Bianca one can find the best of fresh produce at Gloria's, the finest meats at Hugo's and a general grocery store. Within 15 minutes in either directions, there are large supermarkets all stocked with typical local products and wine.

There are numerous restaurants within 15-30 minute drive that range from the simple but delicious pizza parlor to the very refined restaurant.

There are numerous hikes and biking available in nearby towns.

Automated bank machines are everywhere & internet cafes can be found in almost every larger town such as Spoleto.

Both properties require a 50% deposit with the balance due 60 days prior to arrival. We do not accept credit cards, only checks and bank transfers. There are both booking guidelines and an agreement form for future tenants.
