Apartment

A self contained, spacious first floor apartment with high ceilings and tall shuttered windows. A central living room is comfortably furnished and opens out onto a large balcony with table and chairs and sunlounger. Directly off the living room is the bedroom with double bed and ceiling fan. The room can easily accommodate an extra bed and/or cot, depending on your requirements. Also off the living room is a kitchen/diner with fitted cabinets, cooker with extractor fan, microwave and fridge freezer. There is a highchair available. The modern bathroom has a bath, overhead shower, mixer taps and towel radiator. Partially tiled walls and tiled floor in natural tones result in a practical and relaxing environment.

Bed and Breakfast Accommodation

Our two bed and breakfast rooms are light and airy with high ceilings. Shutters at the windows, ceiling fans and en suite bathrooms with shower. One is a double room with private balcony. The other has a large double bed as well as a single bed so can be used as a double or twin room. Babies and children made welcome with cot and extra beds available on request.

Notes on accommodation
Ceilings fans in all bedrooms.
Central heating throughout. Use of wood burner in apartment at small extra charge.
No smoking. All towels and bed linen provided. Cot bedding also available. No pets please. Use of washing machine 5 euros.

Outside
Large terraces around the house with panoramic views, table and chairs and barbecue. A step down from the terraces is a large lawn with play area, play house, sand pit and a 4.5m/15ft diameter free-standing, unheated pool. Above the pool is a sun terrace with further seating and sun loungers.
There is a herb garden, where you can help yourself to a range of mediterranean herbs.
The land around the house has various fruit trees: cherry, fig, peach, walnut etc and there are lots of wild flowers, poppies, cornflowers etc depending on the season.
We have a shaded gravel car parking area at the side of the house. The surrounding farmland and rustico (picturesque ruin) is ours and you are free to stroll around.

Coast/Beach
Half an hour drive to the coastline of Grottammare and San Benedetto where you can find palm trees and developed beaches with a full range of facilities such as beach bars/restaurants, rows of sun loungers for hire, showers and changing rooms. Non commercial sandy beaches can also be found, great for children!

Travel
Approx. 20 minutes from main East Coast motorway.
Ancona/Pescara airports both 1.5 hours drive.
Forli Bologna is approx. 2 hours 15 minutes.
Rimini Aiport is 1.5 hours drive.
Rome is 3-3.5 hours drive.

Further details
We have compiled a booklet for your use full of information on the local area. Montalto has a range of shops – butchers, general store, patisserie, fruit shop, pharmacy and a market every Wednesday morning. Nearby restaurants offer regional food at reasonable prices and there are several bars close by.
Montalto is dominated by a huge cathedral steeped in history, complete with crypt, tombs and underground grotto. A museum is opposite and further up the hill a charming old town.
