Suitable family home, but Sirocco stairs unsuitable for elderly. Air conditioning in 3 rooms. See website for more photos of the house. Parking allowed in all side streets, no fees.
Coast/Beach
10 mins walk to harbour, fishing port, sailing + yacht club; rent a boat; port of call for Boat Tours along coast including tour to Zingaro nature reserve & San Vito Lo Capo.
5 mins drive to 1 mile long sandy beach equipped for bathers and seafront walk.
Travel
1/2 hour from Palermo Airport. Car hire from airport recommended. Ryan Air offers charter flights from LND Stansted to Palermo. Check for Ryanair-Hertz car-hire offers.
Distances
1/2 hour from: Erice characteristic medieval centre, Greek sites, Trapani salt mills, Segesta thermal baths, Scopello & Zingaro nature park and marine reserve. 45 mins to Palermo on motorway, Selinunte, Mazara del Vallo, Marsala. Ferry to islands of Favignana or Ustica from port.
1&1/2 hour drive to Agrigento Greek ruins.
Further details
House in the historical centre; mins on foot from every kind of shop: cheap supermarket, internet point 10mins walk, fresh fruit and vegetables daily, many eating places with reasonable prices! Excellent local fresh fish, home produced ice-cream and local wine.
