The farmhouse has traditional features of chestnut beams and terracotta tiles, rustic & stylish with modern amenities. Set back from the road in landscaped gardens. The apartment is romantic and cosy in winter yet cool in summer. A luxury welcome pack on arrival including locally hand picked extra virgin olive oil, bottle of wine & handmade soap. Changeover day

Mid way between Florence and Rome, Citta della Pieve is one of Umbrias finest medieval villages. The village has excellent facilities of banks and ATMs, post office, hospital, pharmacy, fine dining restaurants and two supermarkets. Citta della Pieve plays host to a variety of festivals throughout the year including the renowned medieval Palio dei Terzieri in August as well as home to Umbria's most famous artist 'Il Perugino' as well as the smallest street in Italy (as well as home to an international Oscar winning film star)! Perugia, Orvieto, Assisi and Lake Trasimeno are easily reached as well as Southern Tuscany where you will find the stunning towns of Siena, Montepulciano and Pienza. The property is accessible from all of the major airports (Rome, Pisa, Bologna, Florence, Milan) with the nearest airport in Perugia (40km) with direct flights to and from London. Easily reached is the A1 Rome-Florence motorway (18km) with the nearest train station in Chiusi (10km) where hire cars are also available. Florence and Rome are an easy day trip by train from Chiusi (10kms from Citta della Pieve with free parking where you can see some of the world's most important monuments including the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Vatican and Sixtine Chapel and St. Peter's Basilica. Must see in Florence is Michelangelo's David and the Uffizi Gallerie.

I am a Australian-British woman working in advertising & based in London. Seven years ago I went out to Tuscany to recover from a broken heart & instead fell in love with a whole region! About 3 years ago I found myself on a lunch date with someone who I thought was a real estate agent but instead was a Tuscan fireman! He kindly made some enquiries on my behalf & after a blissful lunch of beef & red wine, I found myself a charming property! My aim in renting is for people to see and experience the joy of Tuscany & Umbria (as I indeed have) in quality accommodation for a fair & honest price. I pride myself on giving the very best service with as many personal touches as possible. And judging on the feedback, I believe I have achieved this.

My property spec was...
Traditional style farmhouse...stunning views...renovated...rustic yet modernised...rural location but with nearby village...pool...garden...easy airport access!!
Not such an easy task given many of the properties I viewed didn't even have a roof!! Then I came across my property and couldn't believe my luck. The property had been beautifully renovated keeping the rustic charm I wanted yet with modern amenities, large pool, gardens & panoramic views! I loved the position...rural but 5 mins away from the charming village of Citta della Pieve. As well as having a foot in both Umbria & Tuscany, Perugia airport is just 45 minutes drive away so it couldn't be easier to get to. I said yes on the spot!
Unique benefits of the property
I cannot describe the joy of leaving London boarding a morning flight, arriving in Perugia at 11am, driving to my property and unpacked in time for a long lazy lunch! Then after a day that usually involves great food and wine, I sleep like I have never slept before and wake to the sound of absolutely nothing! The joy of waking to silence, opening the shutters and being flooded with morning sun, taking a cup of coffee outside and just being blown away by the bluest skies, freshest air in utter peaceful surroundings. Yes just a few benefits.
