The Palazzo Majo is a luxury bed and breakfast. It is located in the quiet, rural hamlet of Lugnano in Northern Umbria near the Tuscan border. The palazzo is set on a hillside with stunning views over the Tiber Valley. It is an ideal location for relaxing and exploring the picturesque hilltop villages and medieval towns of Assisi, Montone, Perugia, Gubbio, Sansepolcro, Cortona, and Arezzo.

Accessibility
All bedrooms and suites are on the first and second floor except the Elena room which has one step up for which a ramp can be provided. The adjacent toilet and shower room have been adapted for disabled use. The breakfast room terrace are accessible for wheelchair users also. The pool area is only accessible by stairs.
Outside
The gardens are extensive and on a sloping site. The woodland garden provided shade in summer, but there are also areas for the sun lovers. The pool is 7.5m by 4m, with sun loungers etc provided, There is an outside shower. The breakfast patio gets morning sun and has ample tables for all guests. It overlooks the lush Tiber Valley. There is ample off street parking. Sports equipment like table tennis, beach tennis and boules are available.
Golf
Antognolla Golf Course is an 18 hole championship golf course. It is only 30 mins from Palazzo Majo, (20 mins north of Perugia). There is a driving range, practice green, a small club house, a bar and changing facilities. A range of golf clubs, trolleys and carts are available to hire. The course offers golfers the opportunity to play on an expertly designed course and is a true test of their skill and judgement. The natural beauty of the terrain has been used to design a course which features large undulating greens needing accurate approaches and sloping fairways leading onto expansive greens either sheltered by the hills or exposed to the elements. The course is par 71 and is enhanced by the technical merit of the 6208m course with every aspect of a player's game challenged to the full. The signature hole of the course is the par 5 fifth! Few courses in the world can rival the thrill of playing under the backdrop of the stunning Antognolla Castle. It is a memorable test of golf.
Travel
The nearest airport, Perugia is 45 minutes away from which Ryan air flies to London. Other visitors also fly to Rome Ciampino, Rome International (Ryan air) and Pisa. Euro Star and other main line trains stop at Arezzo (45 minutes). The local train line stops at nearby Trestina (10 minutes) and goes to Perugia, Umbertide, Citta di Castello and Sansepolcro. There are trains every hour approximately. Airport or station pick up may be available.
Distances
This is an ideal base for exploring the picturesque hilltop villages and medieval walled towns of Umbria and Tuscany – Gubbio, Perugia, Assisi, Sansepolcro, Cortona - all within a 45 minute drive. The market towns of Citta di Castello, Umber tide and historic Montoni are all 20 minutes away.
