Nonno Michele is a group of five small trulli, with a large, stunning swimming pool. Each one bedroom trullo has a shower room, open plan kitchen/dining/sitting room, small private outside eating area, and use of the communal swimming pool and BBQ area. The virtually undiscovered region is rural, with historic towns perched on the top of the many hills, painted white to reflect the glistening sun. Puglia is Italy’s largest olive oil producing region with olive trees in every garden it is easy to see why. Every town has a market day, selling locally produced goods, from fresh fruit and veg, to clothes and shoes, a bargain to be found by all. The sun in July/August can be very strong, but with the weather being pleasant from May through to October there is plenty of time to explore this beautiful region.

The virtually undiscovered region is rural, with historic towns perched on the top of the many hills, painted white to reflect the glistening sun. Puglia is Italy’s largest olive oil producing region with olive trees in every garden it is easy to see why. The sun in July/August can be very strong, but with the weather being pleasant from May through to October there is plenty of time to explore this beautiful region. Alberobello is an historic town made up with over a thousand 'trulli', a small cylindrical building that peasants built hundreds of years ago to avoid paying taxes, now a popular tourist attraction. At just 5km away with its many restaurants that are open all year round, it is within easy reach. In late September they hold a large festival where the whole town comes alive for 4 days with street markets, a fun fair and religious processions.

Guest comments
‘We found the trullo a peaceful haven, exceptionally clean and comfortable. The welcome was genuine and the ambience friendly and authentic. Local restaurants, if needed, are easy to get to and vary from wood oven pizzas to more typical local cuisine. Ideal both as a family holiday accommodation (check out the big pool and barbeque areas) and also for the more mature couple looking for a base from which to explore Puglia, as we did’ Mr and Mrs H of Northamptonshire’
