Situated in the agricultural outskirts of the fascinating town of Sulmona, the property has the advantage over town properties in hassle-free parking, beautiful all-round views and closeness to the main out-of-town sites of historic interest. Fonte d'Amore of Ovid, Santuario di Ercole Curino (Hercules' Temple), the Hermitage of Sant'Onofrio (home of Pope Celestino V), his little chapel of San Pietro atop the mountain and the WWII POW Camp 78 are all either visible from the house or are a short stroll away.

Notes on prices
Prices are for the property per week (max 4 persons) in Euros. 10% discount for second week. Prices per night are 20 - 25 euros per person (half-price for children) depending on the season.

| Bathrooms: | The bedrooms are not en-suite but there is exclusive use of bathroom, with shower over bath, basin, wc and bidet. |
| Kitchen: | Living room with table for 4-6, small settee. Cooker, hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, fitted cupboards and balcony view. The fridge and cupboards are stocked with complimentary continental breakfast fare along with a couple of bottles of the local wine. |
| Utility Room: | Use of washing machine downstairs. |
| Living Rooms: | Video/DVD players in both bedrooms. Shared lounge available in downstairs accommodation if required. |

Accessibility
The accommodation is on the first floor and wheelchair access is not possible.
Outside
The villa is set in 1200 sq.m. of land with an orchard and vegetable garden. Tables and chairs, deckchairs, and a garden swing are freely available for use. The small barbecue is also available. The garden of the next-door property is also available for use.
Coast/Beach
The coastal resorts of Pescara and its neighbours are accessible by fast autostrada in less than an hour.
Skiing
The ski resort at Roccaraso is less than 45 mins by car. The smaller one at Campo di Giove even closer.
Special interest holidays
Residential adult education courses devoted to opera, travel, botany and Ovid are planned for the future. Details available shortly.
Travel
Pescara airport 45 mins drive. Rome Airport 2 hours drive. Good public transport links from both Pescara and Rome. Car hire recommended.
Distances
The centre of Sulmona is 3km distance, with Rome 2 hours to the west, Pescara 1 hour to the East, Naples 190km to the south by fast autostrada.
Further details
Local ristorantes are close by (Villa Elena and Lupe Verde) with those in Sulmona town easily accessible. There is a local shop in Badia, and a large, good value, supermarket (Il Borgo) nearby. Sulmona has its own theatre and cinema, and there is a public swimming pool on the outskirts.
The English owner is on-site to give immediate domestic and touristic assistance when required.
