Notes on accommodation
Rates quoted includes local taxes, all expenses of water, electricity, and the final cleaning.
Linen and towels are provided and changed once a week.
Additional cost per day:
Extra bed 15 euros, air-con 7 euros, baby cot 4 euros, parking 6 euros.
Taxi-service (on request) from/to Catania airport by Minivan, max 5 persons, 75 euros - from 6 to 8 persons by minibus 120 is euros.
Parking in Taormina is only possible with a special parking permit. The residence has one, which is available for our clients for free. Inside the residence are otherwise available two parking spaces, at the price of 6 euro per day. Another possibility is the use of the multi stores car parking, five minutes walking distance from the residence, at the price of 40 euro per week.
Accessibility
Only apartment type 'C' is suitable for people with mobility problems with a wheelchair, there is only one stair on the entrance of the apartment. To reach the entrance of the other apartments there are 13 -20 stairs.
Outside
The Residence is located in a garden rich in trees and flowers.
Coast/Beach
Taormina is located on a hill 200m above the sea, the beach is 4km away by car, it is reachable by cable way, which departure station is 15 minutes walking distance from the apartments. Mostly beach resorts have a bus service which departure station is two minutes walking distance from the apartments.
Golf
Only 32km from Taormina you can find Il Pěcciolo Golf Club, an 18-hole par 72 golf course on the slopes of the volcano Etna. The 18 holes are situated amongst oaks, hazels and vineyards and are surrounded by fields of lava from Etna's eruptions.
Skiing
There are two skiing areas on Mount Etna: the southern slope is Rifugio Sapienza and the northern resort is Linguaglossa. The snow also provides ample opportunity for cross country skiing, snowshoeing, and snowboarding. Both locations are reachable within 45 minutes by car, ideal for daily trips from Taormina.
Travel
The nearest airport is Catania fontanarossa which is 60km from Taormina. Car is not needed, all restaurants, bars, shops of the center of Taormina are reachable by walk.
