As you exit the main road, your drive to Azzurra will take you on a country road lined with groves of olive trees, wild flowers, oak covered forests and fields of grain. Animal life is abundant in the area; wild boar, deer, pheasant and birds of prey can often be seen. Upon reaching the gates of the complex, you will be treated with the most breathtaking 360 degree view of the Tuscan countryside. To the west, one has an uninterrupted view to the City of Pisa, which is located 65km away and to the southeast the thick walled City of Volterra. The view is so magnificent, even local Italians are captivated when they visit the complex. If peace and tranquility is what you are seeking, Azzura will definitely satisfy your vacation needs.

Changeover day
Properties are available for occupation from 4pm on arrival day and must be vacated by 10am on the day of departure. Changeover day is Flexible. Keys are accessible by way of a key safe at any time.

| Bathrooms: | 2 bathrooms, all located downstairs. Bathroom 1 has a sink, toilet and small shower. Bathroom 2 has a sink, toilet, bidet and a large shower. The washer and dryer are also located in this bathroom. |
| Kitchen: | The kitchen is fully equipped with a large fridge/freezer, microwave oven, dishwasher and a large farmhouse sink. The farm house table seats six. |
| Living Rooms: | The living room has a comfortable sofa and pouf, so that you can enjoy watching TV or listening to music. The TV rests on a large cabinet that hides the international DVD player and sound system that can play CDs, MP3s or the Ipod. |

Notes on accommodation
Each of the bedrooms and the living room has a ceiling fan to keep the rooms cool. There is central gas heating for winter use. Suitable for children. Note that the pool is not fenced.
Accessibility
The apartment is located on a slight hill with gravel paths, so wheelchair access may be difficult.
Outside
The apartment has two private covered terraces to enjoy and relax. The north facing covered terrace provides shelter from the hot sun and is equipped with dining furniture. The covered terrace located on the southwest corner of the apartment provides a 270 degree view of the Tuscan countryside and the infinity pool, and is great for sunbathing, having a meal, and enjoying the amazing Italian sunset. There is a large, shared, 14 x 7 meter infinity pool with covered gazebo, sunbathing areas and sunbeds. The pool is situated on the south end of the grounds near the edge of the knoll, and has a glorious view of Volterra and Pisa.
Coast/Beach
The town of Cecina is approximately 50km away, and has beautiful flag beaches with lovely coves.
Golf
Castelfalfi Golf Club is situated near the ancient medieval hamlet of Castelfalfi, which is approximately 20 minutes away. It's the perfect place to play golf, during your holiday in Tuscany. Designed by Ing. Mancinelly, the Castelfalfi Golf Course, has been qualified as the 'most difficult of Italy,' thanks to the features of the course. Castelfalfi is an 18 hole course and is 6.645 metres long with a Par 73.
Travel
A rental car is essential. There are budget flights from many UK airports to Pisa. Ryan air, Easy Jet, Jet 2 and Thomson fly all fly into Pisa. Poderra Torrichi is approximately an hour drive (60km) from the Pisa airport. The Florence Airport is over an hour away. The nearest railway station is located at Poggibonsi, which is 25km away. This is a renovated farm building, hence in a very beautiful and rural location that is located at the end of a 2km private unmade road, which can be bumpy.
Distances
San Gimignano (14km), possibly Italy’s most famous small town, is only 20 minutes away. This city evokes the atmosphere of Medieval Tuscany, with its cobblestone roads, high defensive walls, imposing towers and narrow streets. Volterra (15km), the jewel of Roman, Etruscan, medieval, and Renaissance art, is only 20 minutes away. Sienna (35km), is only a 50 minute drive. It is famous for its cathedral, the Duomo; and the Piazza del Campo, that hosts the Palio horse races.
Booking notes
Prices are in US$. 25% deposit required on booking and balance 6 weeks before arrival. Payment by VISA or MasterCard. There is a 200 euro damage deposit payable locally on arrival and refunded, less any damages, upon departure. Cancellation refunds: up to 8 weeks – no cancellation charge. 4-8 weeks – 50% of rate refunded. 2-4 weeks – 25% of rate refunded. Less than 2 weeks – no refund. Any damage, breakage, or anything giving cause for concern noticed must be reported within 48 hours.
