Oliveto is a small working olive grove run by the owners, an Italian-English family. The apartments look out over the surrounding hills and down to the large swimming pool. Mogliano, the local town, is 5 minutes away with bars, restaurants and a local market, as well as many annual fiestas throughout the summer. Guests can request half or full board as part of their holiday, with all meals served in the large cantina. The garden has tables and quiet spots to watch the sunset with a glass of wine. The property is very suitable for children, with games available and space for children to roam with the owner's small affectionate dog.

Accommodation

Lavanda (2 Bedroom, Sleeps 4/5)

Each of the two bedrooms has two beds which can be made up as a double bed if required. There is a cot available. The main living area has two sofas and an easy chair, with the kitchen near the entrance with a table and four chairs, fridge, stove and oven, as well as all cooking equipment necessary, cutlery and crockery. The apartment has it's own terrace outside the kitchen door, with a table and chairs, looking down to the swimming pool. The property has been restored with the ancient beams visible and small openings which were part of the original barn as well as large new windows. The main bedroom has a wide window seat, and a hanging cupboard, as well as a dressing table with drawers. The bathroom has a big shower, basin and wc.

Rosa (1 Bedroom, Sleeps 2/3)

The apartment has one bedroom with two corner windows which look down to the pool and up to the hillside opposite. It has a double bed which can be separated to form two single beds, a hanging wardrobe and a chest of drawers. The living space is open plan with a kitchen, with stove, hotplate and fridge freezer, a table and chairs leading through to the living area with a sofa, a large easy chair, a small table and a spare bed made up as an extra sofa, where the third person can sleep. The apartment is entered from the front of the property, where it has the exclusive use of a terrace with table and chairs, surrounded by honeysuckle, jasmine and climbing roses, set in amongst olive trees.

Notes on accommodation
The property is very suitable for children, the owner's family has two boys and we have a wide variety of games and books available for guests. We are set in a rolling countryside where children regularly set off on adventures accompanied by our small affectionate dog. There are four cats who live in the owner's property and spend their days sleeping on low walls in the sunshine. There is a very luxurious hen house where hens produce free range eggs for guests. The Italian member of the family provides food for guests, prices and menus available on request. Meals are served in the large cool cantina.

Outside
The swimming pool is 5 x 10 metres with a timber deck. It is shared between the two apartments. The house is set on a small hill with 80 olive trees and places to eat and drink built in the optimum positions for enjoying the view.

Coast/Beach
The nearest beaches are in Civitanova Marche, thirty minutes away. There are smaller beaches at Porto San Giorgio and Pedaso. The beaches are all beach concessions with restaurants and some free public areas where people have to take their own loungers and umbrellas.

Golf
There is a small golf course at Abbadia di Fiastra, ten minutes away.

Skiing
There is skiing in the mountains forty minutes away in Sasso Tetto. It is a small resort but very picturesque.

Travel
Ancona Airport is the nearest to the property, just over an hour away. Car hire is available there.

Distances
Mogliano is five minutes away, Macerata (a small university city with opera and theatre) is twenty minutes away. Loreto, famous for it's church and art gallery, is forty minutes away. The Abbadia di Fiastra, a beautiful Franciscan abbey, with walks, horse riding and mountain bike trails, is fifteen minutes away.

Further details
Mogliano has six bars, four restaurants, a supermarket, two butchers and several specialist shops, including chocolate, perfume and clothes. There are two banks and a post office.

Booking notes
Booking is confirmed by payment of fifty percent of the booking. The balance is paid eight weeks before the holiday. Payments are made into the owner's English bank.
