Our apartment is in an area that is entirely fenced in - so it makes and ideal and safe play area for children (and pets)!

The property has wheelchair access.

Outside
The swimming pool is located in our gardens and comes with poolside furniture. The pool is not heated so we open it in May until the weather turns cold sometime in the autumn.

Coast/Beach
Umbria is located in the centre of Italy and therefore does not have any beaches in the immediate vicinity. However, since Italy is a narrow country beaches can be reached by car in an hour and a half.

Golf
The nearest golf course is in Perugia, 30 minutes drive away.

Skiing
Skiing is available in Norcia in the winter which is about 1 hours drive by car. Skiing here is very popular amongst the locals, not least because the pistes are never very crowded.

Special interest holidays
We provide cooking lessons which last from 1 - 3 hours depending on how long the client wants. A visit to an agritourism is to discover the natural old way of life that embraces all facets of a peasant lifestyle. The table is possibly the core element of this philosophy, the moment in which you can rediscover forgotten flavours and taste traditional peasant recipes. The dishes will include products that have been grown locally, coming from the local earth and produced in the traditional manner. This way you can rediscover the so called ‘Cucina povera’ literally meaning the ‘poor kitchen’ which has become popular because it used very few ingredients, simple and natural but taken from thousands of years of peasant imagination, handed down from generation to generation by word of mouth.

Travel
Nearest airport is Perugia (30 mins by car); where Easyjet and Ryanair fly.
Rome Ciampino (Ryanair, EasyJet) 2 hours by car.
Rome Fiumicino (All main airlines) 2 and a half hours.
Trevi is on the main Rome - Ancona line. Trains are regular and and not expensive. Rome is about an hour and a half away and Florence is two and a half hours. A car is essential at this property as it is in the countryside.

Trevi is 10 minutes away by car.
Montefalco, Foligno and Spoleto are about 15 minutes by car.
Assisi and Spello are 20 minutes drive away.
Perugia 45 minutes.
Todi and Gubbio 1 hour.
Orvieto 90 minutes.
Rome is 2 hours and Florence is 2 and a half hour's away by car, both can easily be accessed by train from Trevi.

Further details
This area is steeped in cultural history, so for someone who likes architecture, art and history it is a paradise. Practically every medium sized town has a museum. For sporty people there are tennis and riding facilities close by and the energetic can take out our bikes a 20 mile cycle route (from Spoleto to Assisi) that is just a short distance away from the property. Walkers will love it here and there are a number of walks that are signposted that range in length from 15km to about 70km. The closest large town is Foligno (14km away) which has all amenities and some fantastic clothes shops, known as the shoe lovers paradise. Local restaurants serve exceptionally good traditional food and there is no shortage of choice. You can find pizza as well as very upmarket restaurants.
Montefalco is famous for Sagrantino which is a grape that is unique to the region, the wines here now enjoy an international reputation and wine tastings happen in all of the main vineyards. Throughout the summer months there are a number of food, wine, art and cultural festivals that both locals and tourists enjoy.
