This beautiful villa fully refurbished in 2008 comes with private swimming pool and is set in over 2 acres of olive grove together with many walnut, fig and fruit trees. Set in the quiet secluded countryside between Carovigno and San Vito Dei Normanni the heart of Puglia, yet ideally situated a short distance from all local amenities including many shops and restaurants. The villa offers a high level of comfort for up to 6 people and includes lounge, dining kitchen, 3 bedrooms and bathroom. There is a large covered veranda with table and seating for al fresco dining during the long summer months. The swimming pool area includes sun loungers, BBQ and dining area, hot and cold shower and WC. There are many beaches within a short drive of the villa. The beach of Torre Guacetto is 10 minutes away and has a long fine sandy beach and beautiful clear sea. Historic towns including Ostuni, Alberobello and Lecce are within easy driving distance.There are 5 golf courses within a 1 hour drive.

A 300 euro breakage deposit is required upon arrival and is refunded upon satisfactory property inspection on day of departure.
Changeover day
During peak season the normal changeover day is Saturday.
This can be flexible on request.

Accessibility
The villa and surrounding paved areas are all on one level and therefore no issue for mobility.
Outside
Outside, the long drive leads to the 2 acre quiet and secluded property. The large covered veranda with table and seating for al fresco dining also includes separate comfortable seating for relaxing in the shade during the long hot summer days. The beautiful private swimming pool is surrounded by a large paved area with sun loungers and further table and chairs. Large 3m umberellas are located around the pool if and when required. There is also a family sized BBQ for guest use and an outside hot and cold shower, WC and basin. The whole area can be lit at night for evening bathing. A private roof terrace is accessible for added sun bathing but must be used at own risk. Private parking is available for several vehicles.
Coast/Beach
Villa Maresca is located within a short drive of many local beaches. Some ‘Lido’ include bars, restaurants and facilities, others are quiet coves with warm clear sea and fine sandy beaches. The nearest, Torre Guacetto is a 10 minute drive away.
Golf
There are 5 golf courses within a 1 hour drive of the villa.
San Domenico, location Savelletri di Fasano. A demanding course with exceptional views of the sea from ever hole.
Riva Dei Tessali, location Castellaneta. A picturesque course set in orange groves.
Metaponto golf course is located 10 minutes from the Riva Dei Tessali club.
Acaya Golf Club, location San Cataldo,Lecce. Situated alongside Cesine nature reserve.
Barialto Golf Club, location Casamassima, Bari. Five lakes, olive and palm trees make this a demanding but enjoyable course.
Travel
The nearest airports are Brindisi which is a 15 min drive away and Bari which is a 60 min drive. Ryan Air fly direct from Stansted to each airport on alternate days. Flights are also available with British Airways and Alitalia. Options to fly to Rome 5.5 hours drive or Naples 3.5 hours are also available
Car hire is essential. Local directions will be given with booking. Our local agent will provide a meet and greet facility including escorting guests to the villa.
Distances
San Vito Dei Normanni is a 5 min drive away, Carovigno is a 10 min drive. Both with shops, supermarkets, banks and very good restaurants and pretty piazzas.
The historic town of Ostuni (the white city) is 15 mins away from the villa and is great for evening shopping. Alberobello a 40 min drive and is known for it's famous trulli.
Lecce is approx 40 mins drive away and is known as the Florence of the South with it's baroque architecture.
Further details
All the local towns have open markets on most days and are ideal for buying fresh local produce. There are also plenty of local supermarkets and banks with ATM machines. The Puglia area is well known for it's food and wine and has many excellent restaurants in each of it's towns including a Michelin star restaurant in Carovigno. With the Adriatic Sea to the East and the Ionian Sea to the South the air is not too oppressive during the hot summer months. The average temperatures during the summer are around 30 to 35 degrees.
The region of Puglia has long been a favoured holiday destination to the Italians, known for its natural beauty of vast olive groves and vineyards with white towns, ancient castles and baroque churches. Not forgetting the trulli (strange conical dwellings) which are unique to Puglia. This is a wonderful part of Italy and is still unspoilt with friendly and helpful people. Once you have visited this region you are sure to return.

A 30% non refundable deposit is payable within 7 days of booking with the remaining balance due 8 weeks prior to arrival. A 300 euro breakage deposit is required upon arrival and is refunded upon satisfactory property inspection on day of departure.
