B & B is located in the heart of Syracuse in Corso Gelone. This strategic position allows you to reach by walking (about 300 meters) the Archaeological Area (the Greek Theatre, the Orecchio di Dioniso, the Roman Amphitheatre, the Ierones Ara, the Grotta dei Cordari and the Latomie del Paradiso) and in its surroundings (about 200 meters) you will find the Santuario della Madonna delle Lacrime, the “Paolo Orsi” Archaeological Museum, the Catacombe di San Giovanni and the Papiro area. You can reach the Ortigia Island by walking or by bus (about 600 mt). Just 50 meters away from the B&B Gelone there are two bus stops (or taxi station) which allow you to reach in a short time the beautiful Ortigia Island. The B&B is very comfortable and elegant. Arriving time is not important, we need that guests leave the rooms max at 10.30/11.00 o'clock to permit cleaning for the arrival of new guests.

Notes on accommodation
Towels and linen are included and they are changed every day(bath linen) every three days other linens.
The breakfast hall or living room has air conditioned, music area, internet point, library and satellite television. And a very large verandah to make up the sun.
All emergency situation that including use of some property facilities are accepted.

Accessibility
The property is not authorized to accept people with mobility problems, because the bathrooms are not constructed for that use. But all other places of the building are able to receive people with mobility problems. There is a lift and before an automatic chair elevator for the first ten steps. The B&B Gelone is located at the first floor and the doors to go in are very large.

Outside
Outside the owners have a country property at five kilometres far and when there are the good time to do it he take the guest to this to take oranges and lemons from the property gardens he have. The owners usually if have sufficient free time to do, meet guests around the city and to Eurialo castle (5kms) and speak about all the old things of the city of Syracuse.

Coast/Beach
Coast is 400 meters from B&B, rock coast; very large and beautiful beaches. Coasts are 10km from B&B.

Travel
From the International Airport of Catania, reach Syracuse (60 Km) by bus or by taxi. On request by using booking form the B&B Gelone we organize the transfer from the Airport to the B&B. The cost of the transfer is 50 Euros (max 4 persons). In the city many buses will bring you from the Train Station to the B&B Gelone but train station is far from B&B only 250 meters and generally property like to take guests with his car.

Distances
All more interesting archaeological and natural places are very near at B&B Gelone. In a distance of 500 meters around us there are all the most important sites that you can found in Siracusa.

Further details
The property of B&B Gelone give to all the guests a very large map of the city and give to all in a very good English many explainings to make a very fine visit of the city. All around B&B Gelone there are many shops, restaurants, supermarkets, banks etc, because we are in the heart of the city, we are in the most commercial street of the city: Corso Gelone.
