There is an 18 hole Golf course at Castelfalfi, 30 minutes away.
Travel
While Pisa is the most convenient airport, at approx 35minutes drive, those at Florence, Bologna and Genoa are readily accessible, and all have low cost airlines connections from UK.
Pontedera the nearest rail station at about 6km is on the line between Pisa and Florence.

Distances
The village of Palaia at 3km is less than 5mins drive. Pontedera 15 mins drive. Pisa 40 mins. San Gimignano & Volterra 45mins. Florence 1hr (but best take the train to avoid parking in Florence).
Further details
While everything is available for self catering in the flat there are eating facilities within the estate. There is a quality restaurant in the Villa and an Enoteca - a cafe/wine bar- which serves pasta and pizza etc. both indoors and alfresco. Immediately outside the grounds is a pizzeria and just a few hundred yards away there are two more restaurants. Further a field Palaia, about 2miles away, has several restaurants while the surrounding area offers many more delightful places to sample the gastronomic delights of local Tuscan fare.
Palaia has shops and bank. Nearby Forcoli (10mins drive) has a useful supermarket and there is a large hypermarket at Pontedera.

50% deposit needed at time of booking with balance payable four weeks prior to arrival including £100 fully refundable deposit against damages, (this to be returned within one week of conclusion of booking - following inventory check of apartment).
