A beautifully restored 17c Masseria and modern villa with fully organic olive farm situated in the hills with wonderful views of Monopoli and the sea. The property has beautiful private gardens, picnic areas, terraces and large swimming pool (14x7mtrs). Farmland over gentle terraced areas planted with ancient old olive trees, almonds, oaks, figs and prickly pear underplanted with a vast amount of wild flowers. Short drive (10 mins) to the historic large town of Monopoli with a very full range of bars and restaurants, sandy beaches among rocky coves, sporting facilities. The local village is a few mins. drive or 20mins walk away with shops, bar, restaurant, petrol station, post office and church.

Notes on prices
Extra beds in B&B rooms 25 euro per night.
The Family apartment can be enlarged with the addition of one extra room or two extra rooms to enlarge capacity up to 10 people. Total price with 1 extra room: low season 940 euro pw, medium 1100 euro pw , high 1500 euro per week. Total price with two extra rooms: low 1340 euro pw, medium 1600 euro per week, high 2100 euro per week.
Self catering security deposit payable in cash on arrival of euro 300.

Changeover day
Saturday is preferred for the self catering accommodation but we are flexible. We welcome guests personally to our home so please advise us your estimated arrival time. Departure time from all accommodation is 10am. Arrangements made for late flights.

This beautifully furnished fully restored apartment has every luxury including, top quality linens and towels, hair dryer, rental includes a welcome hamper, an end of stay clean and weekly linen and towel change, gas, electric and water. Accommodation: 1 large bedroom with king size bed, large lounge/diner with 2 or 3 single beds. Kitchen fully fitted with cooker, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, full range of crockery, cutlery, cool box and cooking equipment. Solar panels provide constant hot water, heating is by radiator and an open fireplace. During Summer electric fans are available but, the accommodation says cool due to the very thick stone walls. All windows have fly screens. Separate fully equipped laundry room. Superior Family bathroom with bath and shower. TV/Satellite/DVD/Video,wireless hotspot. Private terrace, table chairs and wonderful views. Barbecue, pool towels, cot, high chair available. Luxury pool sunbeds. The village shop is a 20 minute walk or a few minutes by car.

This newly built modern luxury villa has every facility including, top quality linens and towels, rental includes welcome hamper, an end of stay clean and weekly linen and towel change. There are two double bedrooms one with an en-suite bathroom with shower, bidet, toilet and washbasin. The third bedroom has two single beds and can also be equipped with a cot on request. All bedrooms have ample wardrobe and storage space and a hairdryer. There is a family bathroom with shower, bath bidet, toilet and washbasin.
The lounge has ample seating and TV satellite and DVD.
The kitchen is fully equiped and includes oven and hob, dishwasher, washing machine and fridge freezer and a full range of crockery, cutlery, cool box and cooking equipment. Internally table and chairs for eight people and on the covered outside terrace a further table and seating for eight.
There is a huge roof terrace with magnificent panoramic views of the sea and countryside. There are eight sunbeds on the roof terrace

 

Notes on accommodation
Masseria Due Torri offers luxury style accommodation in the form of self catering or bed and breakfast to suit all needs. It benefits from full central heating and constant hot water provided by solar panels on the roof. Rooms are spacious and windows fitted with fly screens. Air-conditioning is provided in the Villa and Garden Room 2, but not in the rest of the Masseria as the walls are very thick and the temperature remains cool. In the main hall of the Masseria there is an extensive library of books, maps, tourist information, DVDs, videos and games for guests to use during their stay. All accommodation is suitable for children. Babysitting services are available. Seasonal offers are available on all types of accommodation please ask.

Accessibility
Most of the property and grounds are accessible with ramps and level terraces. There are a few steps but a ramp can be provided for these. Also, assistance can be provided if required.

Outside
The masseria has extensive private gardens surrounded by farmland with the most beautiful views. There are many terraces some with sea views. Shady and sunny areas in which to relax. Many tables and chairs. Hammocks in the trees. The Masseria's private outside swimming pool measures 14x7mtrs and is heated by the sun. Available to all our guests. Opening times depend on the temperature but usually end April to mid November. It is surrounded by a large terrace and lawns furnished with luxury sunbeds and tables. There is a barbeque and a wood fired pizza oven. Outdoor games. An outdoor toilet and 2 showers. Ample secure parking.

Coast/Beach
There is a wide range of beaches from sandy bays to rocky coves. Coastal walks to enjoy the beautiful fragrances of wild thyme growing amongst the rocks. There is a mixture of private lidos (require a small charge) or public beaches. The nearest is 10 mins. drive away in Monopoli. There are many facilities bars, restaurants, sunbeds, chairs, tables, sunshades etc. Sports facilities, playgrounds and water sports. In the late evening many of the lidos become disco's every night of the week.

Golf
Golf at Savelletri about 15 mins. drive.

Special interest holidays
Throughout the year we are able to arrange cookery courses or demonstrations, There are several Important Bird Areas (IBAs) very close to the Masseria and provide a wonderful opportunity to see the Spring and Autumn migrations.
Bicycles are available and guided tours can be arranged.
We also offer assistance to guests wanting to relocate to the area. Arrangements can be made for special occasions such as champagne, flowers or fruit in your room. A cake ordered, a special dinner reservation, taxi service.

Travel
Bari airport is about 50km and Brindisi about 70km and both about 45mins. drive away from the Masseria. Car hire is recommended as there is little public transport to the Masseria. We are able to provide airport transfers to our accommodation. Or for guests who wish not to drive we offer transport from the train station at Monopoli, also local tours available.
Car hire is also available in Monopoli.

Distances
The nearest village is Cozzana a few mins drive or 20 mins walk away.
Monopoli is the nearest town under 5kms and 10 mins drive to the historic center, its port and beaches.
Within 30 mins drive there are many local towns and places of interest which include some of the largest caves in Europe, in Castellana, Valle of Itria, Trulli at Alborebello a world heritage site, the ruins of Egnazia, Zoo Safari in Fasano and golf at Saveletri. Further details
There are many local bars, restaurants, shops, supermarkets and banks within 1 km to 5km. Every local town has a weekly market. Opening times for shops are 9-1 and 4.30-8-30 (later in summer) Indoor swimming pool 5kms, sailing, diving, and fishing. Between 15-30mins. drive there is golf and horseriding. Bird watching at the nature reserve along the heritage coast. The cliffs and splendid views of Polignano. Pine forests at Selva di Fasano. See our website for links to these.

Bookings will be confirmed on our receipt of a 25% deposit. Balance payable on arrival. We are unable to accept card payments at the moment. A security cash deposit of 300 euros is required on arrival for all self catering accommodation returnable at the end of stay providing the accommodation is left in good order. About the owner
We moved here from England in 2006 and have fully restored our 17th century farmhouse, grounds and built a large pool and new villa. An orchard was planted to provide us with a large variety of fresh fruits. In addition to the almonds, cherries, figs, plums, pomegranates and prickly pears. Made into homemade preserves etc. The gardens are always being extended. We enjoy sharing our knowledge of this beautiful area with guests over an amazing breakfast or during a visit to one of the many year round festivals. Why the owner chose a guest house in this location
We came across this beautiful unspoilt area of Puglia while on holiday in November 2002. Returning at times throughout the year to explore fully. Finding that the Monopoli countryside had so much to offer. The location was very important to us as we like a countryside setting, stunning views of the land and sea, beautiful local beaches and towns. Here we have found all these things, lovely green countryside with anceint olive trees, beautiful gently sloping farm land with trees, wild flowers and wildlife all year round. We are within easy reach of many local towns, several airports, excellent train services from Monopoli and above all an all year round destination with plenty to do.

Unique benefits of the property
Our property is convenient for touring the region of Puglia as we are situated between two airports near to the coast, within a few minutes drive of many varieties of beach and towns. Guests enjoy moments around the pool and in our extensive gardens and many picnic areas away from the crowds. Our pool is 14x7mtrs ideal for swimming or playing. It is surounded by a sunbathing terrace with plenty of luxury sunbeds. A very large grass area with hammocks and swing. For babies we provide a small pool in the shade with toys. Our accommodations are extremely well equiped a home from home with attention to every detail. We offer an extensive range of tourist information and are always available to offer help when needed.
