La Mossa consists of two rooms on the first floor (kitchen and living room) and two bedrooms on the second floor, with an ample bathroom on the mezzanine. It has just been thoroughly renovated by the owners, paying attention to preserve the atmosphere of a rural house of the Tuscany-Emilia Apennine: the stone, the chestnut wood, the fireplace, the oven in the courtyard just outside the kitchen.

Notes on accommodation
The house is walking distance from the little village of Chiozza, on the edge of a chestnut-tree wood, surrounded by wide meadows; it is an ideal place for families with children, who can stroll around in freedom and safety.

Accessibility
No special access for wheelchair. Two floor house not suitable for people with mobility problems.
Outside
The courtyard extends from the kitchen and it is a pleasant solarium for sun tan or a relaxing reading place at sunset. The house is surrounded by large meadows, an integral part of the property, that reach the very top of the hill: from every point in the house or in the meadows you can enjoy an obstacle-free view overlooking the mountains and the valley.

A Golf Course is 10 Km away.
Travel
80 km from Pisa, the italian Ryanair hub; 60 km from Lucca; 100 km from Florence. 10 km from Castelnuovo Garfagnana Railway station. Public transport is available but not frequent, use of car is recommended.
Distances
Garfagnana is a small valley between Alpi Apuane and Appennini. There are 30-40 small villages still preserving the rural atmosphere, and a unique centre of the valley: Castelnuovo Garfagnana (8000 inhabitants). In one hour Lucca or Viareggio (and the beaches of Versilia) may be reached. Firenze and Pisa take 1.5 hours. All of them may be reached using the old railway from Castelnuovo.
Further details
The small village Chiozza has a Pizzeria and a small food shop. Supermarkets, banks and fancy restaurants are within 5 km.
A public swimming pool is in Castelnovo Garfagnana.
During summer many events run in the valley: from a jazz festival to village "sagra".
