Lies in the centre of the village next to the church overlooking the square. The entrance is on the ground floor, main bedroom with en-suite bathroom on the first floor. On the second floor is the kitchen which leads on to a small terrace overlooking the square. Here too is the living room with the magnificent view of the bay and surrounding hills and second bathroom.

Prices can be arranged at a special rate for the winter months according to the length of time requested. Changeover days are generally Saturday but off season days can be established according to flights.

| Bedrooms: | Bedroom 1 contains double bed, large wardrobe, bedside tables and reading lamps, if required a cot can be supplied. Bedroom 2 is an attic bedroom, 2 single beds (comfortable size) but with low beam ceiling, suitable for children. Sofa bed in living room. |
| Bathrooms: | Bathroom contains bath/shower, wc, bidet, wash basin, and washing machine. Hairdryer. Cupboard for toilet accessories. |
| Kitchen: | Contains gas cooker and hob. Fridge/freezer. Ample cupboard space. Crockery and cooking utensils. All neatly placed in the living/dining area. |
| Living Rooms: | This large sunlit room contains the kitchenette and dining area. Dining table and 5 chairs, side board, cutlery and kitchen linen, large comfortable settee which can be converted into a double bed if required. Wood burning fire for the cooler months. |
| Other: | There are two sun chairs for the balcony, and umbrellone for fair skinned sunbathers. No air conditioning is required due to the cool evenings. |
| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
A set of towels will be supplied for all members of the group including a beach towel. Initial and final cleaning of the house is also included. Extra cleaning can be supplied at extra cost. |

Gas, water and electricity are included. Extra charge is made for the electricity and fire wood during the colder months.

Accessibility
Although the bedroom and bathroom are both on the ground floor together with the living area, the street leading to Casa Curcio is very narrow, too narrow for a wheelchair to pass and can only be reached by foot although it lies only 20 metres from the main street.

Coast/Beach
12kms from the marina of Falerna, where you can find a variety of restaurants, pizzerias, bars and Lidos along the sea front. There is a bus three times a day from the village for the Lido and once a day for Lamezia and Catanzaro, so if you prefer not to hire a car we can arrange transport to and from the airport for a small fee.
Skiing
During the winter its possible to practice skiing and cross-country skiing in the Sila mountains. About 1hours drive.
Travel
Lamezia Terme International Airport 20kms (car hire is available). Main railway station lies just 18kms from Falerna Marina. Vibo Marina 38km. During the summer months it is possible to go on daily excursions to the Eolian Isles organized by an authorized tour operator by motor launch.
Distances
Pizzo 30km. Tropea 25km. Amantea 20km. Gizzeria Marina 15km. You can practice windsurfing and surf-kiting due to the favourable winds and sea currents.
Further details
If you enjoy walking the the surrounding hills are ideal with marked out trails both for walkers and those who prefer mountain bikes. If you would like to venture further, guided walks can be organised with the district branch of the Alpine Club. During the month of August there are several village festas organized in the square which is closed off to traffic, ideal for children. The first Sunday of October is the Festa of the Madonna of the Rosary, the most important festa for the village, for three days the village bursts into life offering food and music, along with a bustling market where you can by anything from a pig to your new winter clothes. Sunday is the main day of the Festa with the traditional procession of the Madonna accompanied by the local brass band, all comes to an end with quite an impressive firework display.

I've suddenly realized that I've lived far longer here than in England.....time flies!
For a few years I lived in Rome, which still has a special place in my heart.
Calabria over the years has become my home, here I have my family and wonderful friends.
To me, Calabria is one of Italy's most beautiful regions, and thanks to the local branch of the Alpine Club (CAI) I've had the opportunity to see some of its most wild and magnificent places. Anyone who is interested in trekking, cross-country skiing, kite surfing could have a great time here. We're not very organized, then who wants to be always organized?
Here's the chance to unwind and relax taking in the sun, sand and scenery not forgetting the food and the "grape juice". Ci vediamo presto!
