Rear apartment 2 has one bedroom but sleeps up to five people.

Apartment 1 has bright living room with kitchen/dining facilities and double sofabed. A lobby leads to the double bedroom and generous shower room with basin and WC. Glazed doors open onto the lane, with metal guard-rails. The kitchenette includes a hob, refrigerator, sink and cupboards.

Rear Apartment 2 (1 Bedroom, Sleeps 3/5)

No.2 enters into the kitchen/dining room with extendible table and chairs, oven, hob, refrigerator, sink, cupboards. Behind is a sitting room with double sofabed. Attached is a bedroom with double bed and high-level single bed over it. The bathroom has a sit-bath with shower over, WC and basin. There is a washing machine and TV.

Notes on accommodation
There is central heating by radiators, water heating, electric fans. This is a 'Historic Centre' property, giving convenient access to the wonderful town centre restaurants and providing a base for trips to the nearby National Park, Adriatic coast and Roccaraso ski resort.
Accessibility
Although there is space at ground floor level for keeping pushchairs, etc. the apartments are up a flight of stairs.
Outside
The outside space is a small lightwell accessible from the ground floor entrance lobby.
Coast/Beach
The smooth beaches and fantastic restaurants of Pescara and the Adriatic coast are 50 mins drive away, by motorway or scenic route if preferred.
Skiing
Roccaraso is the local ski resort, 20 mins drive from Sulmona.
Travel
Rome Ciampino Airport is 2 hours drive by good motorway all the way. Pescara Airport is 50 mins drive by good motorway all the way. Alternatively, Sulmona can be approached by train and this journey is possible from both airports. Car hire is possible at both airports and would make a faster journey than by train.
Distances
Rome is accessible by train in 2 1/2 hours. Sulmona is the birth place of Ovid. Annual events include the European Roller Skating Championship, a Jousting Festival, Religious and other traditional Festivals throughout the year. Local attractions include a Donkey sanctuary, vineyards, grottoes, etc. This is a non-touristic area and unspoilt.
Further details
Banks, Post Office, pharmacies, tourist information, supermarkets and small shops are all available in the historic centre underneath the apartment. A car is not necessary within the town. There is a traditional market in the main square 2-3 times a week.
