The white sandy beach develops on a lot of kilometres along one of the most evocative beaches of Salento. It is surrounded by suggestive dunes and a rich and luxuriant vegetation. It slopes gently to the crystal-clear sea which alternates green and light blue colours like in a tropical landscape and it is an ideal beach for families with children or for those who just like to stroll along the beach. The sea of Ugento is rich of history: on its famous sand-banks (which extend on the coast from Torre Pali to Torre Mozza and until 3 kilometres from the coast) a part of Pirro’s float was wrecked. Today you can find wreckage of ancient ships and amphorae in its sounding-depth. The docks, the pinewood, the scrub and the coastal dune which extends from Torre San Giovanni to Torre Pali constitute an ecological group of botanical, fauna and landscape interest.The villa Cellana is included in a refined residence, immersed in the nature.
