Charming one bedroom apartment in historical building set in the small Village of Pieve di Santa Luce, named after the historical church. The village is 40 mins from Pisa Airport, 30 mins from the coast and set amongst unspoilt beauty. My apartment offers you the chance to experience the delights of Tuscany with its many hill top villages and vine yards. You can easily reach the arts, food and fashion that Florence, Pisa, Lucca and many other historical towns have to offer. The apartment has a small patio area for outside dining a shared large swimming pool with life guarrd and a kiddies play area. The village offers a Pizza/Restaurant, local small convenience store and local vans with fresh produce each morning. The village also makes their own oil, honey and wine.

Towels and linen are included and changed on a weekly basis. An additional cost is made for linen for the sofabed if used. Apartment cleaned at the end of your stay. |
Notes on accommodation
The apartment is centrally heated, very airy, non-smoking, few games, guest book, radio/CD player. Table, chairs and umbrella for outside also umbrella to take to the beach if needed. The village is ideal for children being there is a small kiddies park opposite and life guard for the comunal pool.

Accessibility
The apartment is on the ground floor but you need to go down 3 steps at the back of the building and steps to go up to the pool area which may prove difficult with a wheelchair.
Outside
My apartment is accessed from the back of the building being where the parking and pool is. I have a small front patio area with table and chairs for 4 people. Outside umbrella for the table and also one to take to the beach.
Coast/Beach
Short drive of up to 40 mins to local beach, Vada, Bibbona, Cecina. Also water theme park at Cecina. All beaches are sandy with deckchairs and umbrellas for hire. Bars on the beach and toiletts for your use. Also a long stretch of tree's for shade and picnics.
Golf
Nearest golf course, Castelfalfi 50km.
Travel
Nearest Airport is Pisa. Low cost direct flights from UK, New York, Norway, Nederlands and Germany. Car hire is essential to explore the countryside. All major car hire firms available and can be booked online. The route to the apartment is very straightforward and takes only 40 mins, approx 34km.
Distances
Many medieval hill top villages surround the countryside; Bibbona, Casale Maritima, Sasseta, Bolgheri for its famous wine and vineyard. Beaches such as Vada, Cecina have long stretches of sand and would take about half hour to reach. Further afield the arts and crafts of Lucca, Florence, Volterra can be reached with an hours drive on one of the main A roads.
Further details
This area of Tuscany is so beautiful and undiscovered by the mass tourism. Pieve di Santa Luce is a small working village and offers a small shop, local produce deliverd by van each morning, restaurant/pizza bar. A very peaceful and very friendly atmosphere in the village, the locals will help you with any information and do try their best to understand any language. The local Pizza/Restaurant has outside dinning in the summer months. There is a bank, post office, pharmacy, local food shops and a restaurant in the next village of Santa Luce 3 klms. A short drive to main super markets in the larger towns. Spa town of Casciana Terme is 15km away and has a large thermal pool outside and shady garen area, any spa treatments gain you free entrance into the pool and garden. Bathing hats obligatory. The home town of Andrea Botticelli "Lajatico" is about a 45 mins drive inland and from the top 50 most famous restaurants worldwide the "Gambero Rosso" 12th and 2nd in Italy is at San Vincenzo, 40 mins along the coast. There is plenty do keep you occupied for a weekend or longer.
