The Castle of Grotti is located in the hills south of Siena, in a very panoramic position overlooking the Crete and the Val d’Orcia. It is surrounded by a large garden, partly landscaped as a formal Italian garden and partly landscaped as an English country garden, a unique example in the whole region of Siena. There are 8 apartments and two beautiful villas on the castle grounds. These properties can accommodate between 2 and 12 people. The castle of Grotti is ideal for groups and couples and families looking for a relaxing holiday in the very heart of Tuscany, only a short drive away from the main sights. Perfect for small ceremonies and other events as well.

A lovely two-story Villa, once the Marchese ballati's home and now a vacation rental. It sits just inside the castle gates, beside the estate’s private chapel on pleasant wooded grounds. There is garden space for outdoor dining adjacent to the original summer kitchen. The house has 6 bedrooms, 1 on the ground floor with bathroom. A second bathroom is available downstairs. On the upper floor 5 bedrooms with 2 bathroom. The ground floor also houses the kitchen, the diningroom and livingroom with a large open fireplace. This rental is perfect for enjoying a vacation or just a weekend in Tuscany, immersed in the peace and quite of the countryside. It is a real journey back in time. Surrounding the farmhouse is a large garden with fruit trees and a covered area for outdoor dining. The views include the hills of Tuscany and the Val d'Arbia, to the north you can see Siena and the Chianti wine region and to the south the park of the Grotti Castle. |

Notes on accommodation
All the rentals are suitable for families with children.
They are fully equipped to ensure that our guests have a pleasant vacation in Tuscany in an enchanted place rich in history.
Accessibility
Since the properties are located on the grounds of a historical building, most of them have steps. A few apartments on the ground floor are more easily accessible.
Outside
The apartments open onto the park of the castle. Most of them have a private outdoor sitting area or access to the castle park. A unique experience.
Coast/Beach
The nearest beach town is Marina di Grosseto, in the Maremma area. Other areas of interest on the coast are Castiglione della Pescaia, the Nature Park of the Maremma and the Argentario, with its popular beaches.

Upon request, we can arrange all sorts of activities in Tuscany (cooking classes, wine tours, horse back riding, wedding receptions, sightseeing).
Travel
The nearest airport is Florence, but Pisa is a very good option as well. You will need a car, since the castle is immersed in the Tuscan countryside. The nearest village is however just a short walk through the olive groves. Siena is only 12km away and a very scenic drive.
Distances
Ville di Corsano is 600 mt away. Siena is only 12k m away, and the highway SS223 - E78 is only 5 minutes away. This road connects Florence to the coast, so it makes it very easy for our guests to explore most of Southern Tuscany. Grotti is connected to the most famous hilltop towns in Tuscany through a network of minor roads which make for an amazing experience. Hill towns like Montalcino, Pienza, Montepulciano and Cortona are easy daytrips.
Further details
All the necessary services, including restaurants, supermarkets and bank machines, are available in the villages nearby. Siena is also only a short drive away and there all sorts of shops and services are available.
Booking notes
At the time of reservation, we require a non-refundable deposit of 40%. The entire balance is due 40 days before check in.
Payments methods: PayPal, Postal Cheque, Cash.
Cancellations: 40 days or more before check-in - 40% of deposit; 40 to 20 days prior to check-in - 60% of deposit; less than 20 days prior to check-in - no refund.
