Fantastic views over the sea from the patio barbecue and dining area and a bread oven for making those fantastic pizzas. Ryanair has daily flights into Alghero airport, which is just an hour away from the villa. Shopping in Alghero, Bosa and Sassari is both high quality and fashionable. Sightseeing, hiking and bird-watching are all within easy reach of the villa. Water sports enthusiasts are very well catered for. Fishing, diving and snorkeling is abundant in the crystal clear waters. For the historically minded, there are a multitude of fascinating sights, medieval towns, villages, churches and cathedrals in this cultural destination. The local restaurants and bars are both welcoming, well priced and offer many local and European dishes. This home is so relaxing and welcoming.

Changeover day
We have a preferred day of changeover being Saturday or Sunday but will look into feasibility of changing it.

Towels and linen are included in the price with a change of laundry provided each week. Cleaning can be done by our management company at a cost agreed with them on arrival. Cost of the holiday includes the final clean ready for the next guest. |
Notes on accommodation
The house stands in gardens well away from the road, safe and quiet with beautiful views over the beach. It has air-conditioning to all the upstairs rooms and heating for the winter in all rooms. Barbecue on the patio at sunset something you will never forget, or walk along 'our beach' in the morning, lends to the enjoyment of your holiday. Plenty of bars and even a couple of dancing venues in Bosa add to the young peoples enjoyment of the area, while many bars and restaurants offering such a wide choice of meals suit all tastes.

Accessibility
The house stands above a sloping drive but once inside the house, there is a beautiful downstairs bedroom with twin beds and plenty of space. There is also a shower room with wet shower area, sink and wc. The lower area of the house has no steps inside the house and only one small step onto the barbecue and patio area which is easily navigable for wheelchairs.
Outside
The patio at the front of the house overlooks the beach and has fabulous views, very private. There is a large drive and covered side area to the house which houses a large bread oven. Chairs and tables are outside on the balconies for the master 1 and master 2 bedroom if you just want some peace from the rest of the guests, and the gardens have fruit trees, peaches, apricots, cherries, lemons and limes and a grape vine also.
Coast/Beach
The beach closest to our home is just across the road. It has sand to the left and rocks to the right, snorkeling and diving here are amongst some of the best in Europe. The sandy beach to the left is about half a mile long to the other end of the village and has some nice bars and restaurants very close to it.
Travel
Alghero is our closest airport being about 40kms away about an hour to enjoy the beauty of the coast road which brings you 'home'. If you are driving from England the nearest ferry port is Port Torres just north of Alghero which has ferries to and from Genova and Corsica. Car hire is essential and can be booked through Ryanair or other companies in Alghero.
Distances
The village of Porto Alabe is just a minute round the corner, Bosa is about 10 minutes away and can be walked to if you are energetic along the coastal pathway. Alghero about an hour and the same amount of time to Sassari, both towns enjoying good shopping. Further across the island is Olbia and Nuoro and south to Cagliari takes about two hours, but worth a visit. Oristana is about an hour away and close to the rice fields of Arboria, many pleasant coastal walks around the island.
Further details
Banks, shops and supermarkets are mostly in Bosa though we do have a few which open especially for the summer trade added to our permanent shops in Porto Alabe. There are some fantastic boat trips from Alghero around the coast to the Grotto di Nettuno and Capo Caccia. Most of the coastal resorts offer diving and snorkeling trips. Walking and birdwatching especially for our eagles above Bosa are fascinating experiences, and many birds can be seen without moving from the house. Be there in Bosa when the fishermen return to see what is going to be offered to you in the local restaurants that night, it's amazing choice! Go have a look at our Nuraghis, very ancient rock buildings which even to this day cause quite a lot of disagreement as to their usage. There is a village close to our house which has scenes painted on the walls and you may even be lucky enough to see the artist painting one, to be truthful, you will probably think there are some of the older generation talking on the corner until you realise it is a painting! This island is so welcoming and people so friendly that you will want to return again and again, and time spent here seems to pass so slowly, a week here feels like a month in England, and of course, the weather makes barbecues and walking and all the other leisure pastimes so enjoyable.
Booking notes
To book your holiday with us please ask for our booking form which after completion and receipt of your cheque for 30% deposit confirms your holiday and the balance of the payment is expected 6 weeks prior to your holiday. A security deposit of £500 is required at final balance payment which is returned to you one week after your return from holiday when our management company has checked the house. All damage has to be paid for, notify breakages to our management team please.
