Casa Alta is a delightful 14th century Tuscan house completely renovated with respect and attention to detail in harmony with traditional Tuscan architecture. Owned by a passionate Italian antiquarian, the house has been tastefully furnished to welcome large family reunions, hosting friends in full comfort and delightful setting. The cool old terracotta floors and beamed ceilings grant coolness in summer, whilst large fireplaces and heating will keep you comfortably warm in the winter months. Casa Alta has in fact been restored to welcome guests throughout the year. The house is surrounded by four and a half acres of ground, partly used as a garden with a lovely and refreshing swimming pool, and partly planted with olive and fruit trees. From its dominant position the view is magnificent all around the house, stretching as far as Montalcino and Mount Amiata. The area is surrounded by lovely trails where walking and horseriding can be organised.
