The terraces and garden of this townhouse have magnificent views across the rolling marchigiana countryside towards Fermo and Monte Conero. There is a jacuzzi in the garden for clients use only. Petritoli is a thriving small town with a good range of shops, restaurants, cafes, supermarkets and a bank within easy walking distance of the apartments. Petritoli is only 20mins drive from the Adriatic coast at Pedaso, with some of the best 'blue flag' beaches in Italy. The Sibillini National Park is some 45mins car ride away where walking and hiking are plentiful. Skiing in the high Sibillini is very popular in the winter months. There are many medieval towns to explore throughout Le Marche including, Ascoli Piceno, Urbino, Macerata, Jesi, San Benedetto and Senigallia. Among the local wines to be sampled are rosso piceno, verdicchio and the magnificent vino cotto. Exploring further afield into neighbouring Umbria, Tuscany and Abruzzo is also relatively easy from Petritoli.

Notes on accommodation
Each apartment is fully equipped with bed linen and towels for inside and outside/beach use. Each apartment is centrally heated for winter months. The garden is decked and shaded and fully equipped with external Jacuzzi, seating and sunbeds. Each terrace has exterior furniture.
Accessibility
Largo Lucentini is at the top of the town and the streets within Petritoli are cobbled and can be steep. It is however, possible to drive and park within a few metres of the property. Restaurants, cafes, supermarket and bank all within walking distance.
Outside
The rear garden is decked and terraced and the 6 person jacuzzi is available to guests. The views are amazing, and there are tables for dining outside day and evening.
Coast/Beach
The closest beach is at Pedaso which is 20 mins drive away from the property. Cupramaritima is within about 25 minutes drive of the property where there is a windsurfing school. The beaches are fantastic for children as the water is calm and shallow. Other resorts are, Grottamare, 35 mins drive and San Benedetto del Tronto, 35 mins, Porto San Giorgio only 25 minutes to the north. Plenty of beach cafes and places to hire sunbeds and umbrellas.
Travel
Ancona airport is about 1 hours drive from the property and Ryanair flights are scheduled each day from Stansted. Pescara is a similar distance but to the south from the property Ryanair flights are regular but not everyday. The nearest railway station is at Pedaso approximately 20 mins drive.

Further details
There is a magnificent water park at Tortoretto about an hours drive from the property. Also plenty of nightlife in Porto San Giorgio, Grottamare and San Benedetto.

30% deposit required on booking and the balance must be paid 28 days before occupation. Bank transfer preferred. The whole property is available for large parties or families wishes to share a holiday together. Please ring for details.

About the owner
We moved here 4 years ago to make a new life in Italy and we could not have chosen better. We have no regrets about leaving England and our adult children love to visit us here. I am a retired dance teacher and my husband is a retired surveyor. We have an old farmhouse here too, which needs renovating and where we have olive trees and grow vegetables and walk our dog.

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
Le Marche is one of the most beautiful areas in Italy and is sometimes called "Italy's hidden treasure". We came here and immediately felt at home. We are between the sea and the mountains, the locals are friendly and welcoming and we love the rural aspect.
Unique benefits of the property
The property is centrally located at the top of the old town and we find having everything we need within easy reach a bonus. In the winter the house is warm and cosy and in the summer the outside decked garden, which is unusually large for a townhouse in the old centre, is a delight to sit in and the views are breathtaking.
