'Torre del Falco' - 'The Hawk Tower', is a beautiful, ancient stone tower located 1.5 miles from the medieval town of Spoleto. The property sits on a hill overlooking a beautiful valley and facing Monte Luco, the first hermitage place of St. Francis of Assisi. Surrounded by an olive grove, the beautiful swimming pool is there for you to swim or to get lazy lying on a deck chair. The blue of the water melts perfectly with the ivory of the stone, the green of the olives and the violet of the lavender bush, permeating the air with its relaxing fragrance. A pergola by the pool offers you a chance to breakfast in the first rays of the sun or to dine under the starry sky, and on the top floor of the tower you will find a gorgeous panoramic terrace with kitchen, perfect for your outdoor meals enjoying the cool breeze. And if you need a break from the open-air activities, the lovely bedrooms will lull you into lazy naps.

The property is surrounded by a 12 acres park. Near the house is a 56 x 16.5 ft private swimming pool with deck chairs and shades; a pergola by the pool shadows a large dining table and barbecue. On the tower roof terrace, a wooden gazebo, dining table, barbecue and deck chairs are a great alternative to dining in the garden or indoors.

You can explore the many breathtaking towns within less than 30 minutes by car: Bevagna, Trevi, Spello, Montefalco and Foligno; or in one hour you can reach Assisi, Orvieto, Deruta, Perugia, Todi, Cascia and Norcia. Rome is 1h 20 away by train. Florence is just two hours away by car.

Spoleto has a tradition in History and art which goes back to the ancient Roman civilization. You can spend time visiting the castle and the many churches and exhibitions, getting lost in the narrow streets punctuated by artisan shops, discover the Umbrian tastes and flavours in the typical, cosy restaurants, and end the day attending one of the many cultural happenings typical of this town. And when you get tired of human artefacts, you can just walk for hours on end in the surrounding woods and mountains, immersing yourself into the beautiful nature; go for river rafting along the Nera river in beautiful Val Nerina, or for horseback riding along the mountain paths. 'This is a place out of a fairy story. The renovation is perfect and the tower a novelty that is very well equipped. The owner is beyond perfect in her help so that the holiday does not have any hiccups and Spoleto has a very friendly Italian population. Within easy reach of Rome by train but it is better to drive around the area of Spoleto. The pool is wonderful and young and old enjoyed it tremendously especially on the hot days. The mornings are cool and the sun radiant and though the property is it is within an area of great walks. Our family of 9 people found it large enough to enjoy solitude as well as company.
