Your room opens out on to your own private terrace with the most spectacular panoramic view of the mountains, town, port and beyond. On the terrace there is a fully equipped outdoor (covered) kitchen with built in BBQ and dining/sunbathing area where you can simply sit and watch the world go by. Sound idyllic? It is. We are situated in the heart of the old town of Castellammare, within walking distance of shops, bars and restaurants as well as the port and castle. During the summer months there are several bars with sunbathing facilities on Castellammare's long sandy beach. If you prefer the more tranquil option, to the west of town there are plenty of gorgeous coves with crystal clear water - most spectacular of those are in Lo Zingaro, Sicily's first nature reserve. The town is also an ideal location from which to explore the charming cultural treasures of Sicily.

Further details
Castellammare del Golfo is a small romantic fishing town away from the main tourist routes. Set in the beautiful gulf of Castellammare, at the foot of a high rugged mountain sloping gently down towards the sea as far as the little peninsula on which there stands a castle, between 2 magnificent beaches. We are situated in the old town only a few minutes walking distance from shops such as fishmongers, bakers, butchers & deli. There are also restaurants and bars within a few minutes walk or you can take a 10 minute stroll down to the historic harbour for further selection of excellent restaurants selling local produce and locally caught fish. We are also within walking distance of banks, post office, boutiques, fantastic fruit and veg market, gelateria (ice-cream bars) and coffee bars. There is an open air arena where there are regular shows and films during the summer months under the stars!
Boats can be hired from the marina or there are boat excursions that leave from the harbour during high season. There are lovely walks around town as well as several churches, a local park with panoramic views & of course the Castle itself.
The town is also an ideal location from which to explore the charming cultural treasures of Sicily and only approx. 30 minutes from Palermo.
The island of Sicily is the largest in the mediterranean and is also Italy's most varied region. There are offshore islands, rugged mountains, rolling wheatfields, endless coastline and, of course, the islands very own volcano!
Sicily's history and architecture should not be missed either. The island was invaded in succession by the Byzantine, Arabs, Normans, French, Spanish and Bourbons before unifying with Italy. Each conquest left it's mark and created a unique culture on the island.
So whether you are looking for a romantic get away, a beach holiday or an historic indulgence then Sicily has it to offer and Leomar provides you with a special place to do it all from.
