Ideally located for the lakes of Northen Italy, Lake Iseo, Como and Garda. Easy day trips to Venice, Verona and Milan. Many walks local to the house in addition to Presolana. Visit the historic old town of Bergamo. Local town of Clusone has a market every Monday. Visit the Waterfall of Valbondione a very short distance from the house. For those who enjoy a bit of shopping the Orio Centre in Bergamo is the largest shopping mall in Italy. Verona offers some fantastic live performances and just a drive away from the house. Enjoy the performance as the sun sets over the Arena. Full details can be found at www.arena.it. If you enjoy designer shopping try the city of Bergamo or Milan with many designer shops. If you prefer the historic towns take the funicular from Bergamo to Citta Alta where you can find beautiful churches and gorgeous restaurants with spectacular views. Alternatively just take a stroll and enjoy the views.

There are balconies on both levels of the apartment overlooking Spiazzi Gromo with mountain ranges and pine woodlands.Many waterfalls run down the mountains to the river, staring at the famous Valbondione waterfall. There are numerous walks along the river, including on the flat. There is a small walk from the apartment to the right hand side as you face the mountain views. Take this walk and you will find numerous waterfalls as well as a picnic area, BBQ area and a local play area for children. There is also a play area along the river from Gromo towards Clusone.
In the Spring they have a try toboggan run at Spiazzi Gromo along with many other outdoor activities. Spiazzi Gromo is surrounded by pine woodlands and has a very open space for picnics and relaxing in the sun. If you feel like a change for the day Switzerland is approximately a 3 hour drive (make sure you take your passport!) and en-route you may wish to visit Lake Como.

Lizzola, Spiazzi Gromo and Pressolana all within 20 minutes of house, with closest of Spiazzi Gromo being 10 minutes.

Local shops, restaurants, Castle and many other attractions nearby. Many low cost airlines, including Ryanair fly into Bergamo Milan Orio Serio. All hire companies are available at this airport. The airport is approximately 30km away from the house. Local activities cycling, horse riding, mountain biking, ski, walking. The town of Gromo, with its old Castle offering many restaurants with Italian specialities. The ski slope of Gromo is within a 10 minute of the house. Gromo Spiazzi - beautiful ski resort located in the heart of a wide wood - offers you an ancient medieval village, along with a new urban centre with private houses and hotels. Spiazzi di Gromo is a ski resort with a lot of potential facilities: it offers ski runs, tourist tracks, medieval ruins with one of the best preserved Medieval Castle in the province of Bergamo; there tourists may enjoy walking through Orobie mountains or taking a break in the Spiazzi pinewood.
Booking notes
A damage deposit of 250 euros is required upon arrival which is fully refundable subject to final inspection of the property. Keys will be collected from our Agent in Italy. Check in is from 4pm and check out prior to 10am. Payment of 25% upon booking with remainder due at least 30 days before departure.

Scotland - An exceptionally wonderful flat in a stunning setting. We managed fine without a car - the bus service is good. Excellent walking from the door.
Tom- Although we don't ski ourselves we did try out all the chair lifts up to the challet restaurants where we drank copious amounts of sublime hot chocolate. There was lots of snow and it was such fun to watch the snow boarders and skiers whizzing down the pistes below our chair lifts. We all had a go at toboggoning on the lower slopes.
Thank you so very much for a wonderful experiance. In the 8 days we were there it snowed for 7 and was bright and sunny on the other.
Leeds- Truly magical surroundings with phenomenol views and very peaceful.
The mountains are magnificent, the skiing excellent and the accommodation very welcoming especially when the log fire is lit. We also like the fact that there is a garage to house the skis and car at the end of the day.
